Night of the Comet
A movie that I actually liked back in the 80s...until I turned 16. Halley's Comet makes its pass in 1984, and wipes out everyone who didn't spend the night encased in metal of some sort. Oddly enough, two of the survivors are sisters who spent the night separately, what are the odds?! They spend their time in a department show doing fashion montages and fighting off the zombies, who are people that didn't die...but didn't get turned into dust by the comet... I don't know. Maybe Mike, Bill, and Kevin can figure it out.

This movie would be perfect for riffing. It needs to be riffed.I'm talking, of course, about the TV movie Lathe of Heaven. It's about George Orr (Bruce Davison) who can change the universe with his dreams, but a psychiatrist, Dr. William Haber (Kevin Conway), manipulates his dreams for his own purposes. Rocky IV
Obviously the most politically and culturally relevant of all the 'Rocky' epics. The movie that ended not only the Cold War, but James Brown's career. Dolph Lundgren's performance won him an Oscar for Most Dumbfounded Expression in a Sports Movie. This must be riffed before Putin reforms the empire!

Rated the #1 movie to watch while stoned, this is the movie that spawned the infamous head smashing clip used on the early days of The Daily Show with Craig Kilborn. The over the top, ultra violent scenes of brutality in this film would be deeply disturbing if the special effects weren't so hilariously terrible.
