War of the Robots a.k.a. La guerra dei robot
A turgid 1978 Italian no budget Star Wars ripoff directed by Alfonso Brescia a.k.a. Al Bradley, this movie features a robot couple with a suicide pact, but they can't remember why they pledged to die together until the end of the movie. Turns out they want to die because /robots can't have sex/. Yes, this movie is about amnesiac, suicidally sexually frustrated robots. Oh, and some dorky Italian people. The bad guys have robots, too, and they are guys in gold lamé outfits with blonde wigs, because that makes you a robot! This one is public domain, along with several other movies from the same director and much of the cast and crew, like Cosmos: War of the Planets, Battle in Interstellar Space, Star Odyssey and a sexplotation version called The Beast in Space, starring the star of an earlier sexploitation movie called The Beast. Yes. I'm serious. Also the light sabres in these movies look like glowing ice cream cones.

Don't forget the lead is played by everybody's favorite swarthy Bronx Italian: Toblerone!
