  1. Journey of the Lost Balloon

    1961
    (Rated PG)
    IMDB:
A professor is hired to navigate across Africa in a hot-air balloon to rescue a lost explorer, but a mysterious local villain named "Hindu" commandeers the balloon for his own nefarious purposes.

An advertising gimmick used for this film was the giveaway of "motion sickness pills" to ticket buyers. The critics had a field day with it.

Hindu: Don't be misled. There could be a thousand cannibals beneath those fronds and you wouldn't see one. It was among these very trees that the unfortunate Frenchman Maison was murdered in 1845.

  5. revolt (1986)

Favorite line (said by 8 year old):"Why are women so much like women? It's in their nature." Movie promises to "serve piles of revenge" and it delivers. Set in rural Hollywood, CA., it tackles the tough subject of drugs in small town America. Great dubbing and so much action!

  8. The Bride (1985)

    Sting, Jennifer Beals, Carey Elwes
(From Rotten Tomatoes): In this update of James Whale's classic The Bride of Frankenstein, pop star Sting furthers his burgeoning film career by portraying cinema's signature mad scientist. Disgusted by his dim-witted and ugly original creation (Clancy Brown), Dr. Frankenstein sets out to animate an improved version. Though lovely on the outside, Eva (Jennifer Beals) begins her new life as little more than an animal. With the help of his trusty housekeeper (Geraldine Page), however, Frankenstein soon grooms the beautiful zombie into a reasonable facsimile of an upper-class debutante...

  11. Rage of Honor w/ Sho Kosugi

Awesomely hilariously bad but incredibly entertaining! Sho Kosugi must recover a 5.25 inch floppy with something important on it while rescuing his girlfriend. Has the power to knock people off ledges and turn them into dummies mid-air.

  12. If I Stay

It's like a mixture of "Soultaker" and "Just Like Heaven" meets The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go"...except it has non-stop flashbacks and it's a chick flick...and it's terrible...

  16. this Gilbert Toys promotional film from 1963!

    Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M6BaYmTwpU

It's got a plane-on-a-string, an electroplating kit, model trains (complete with model train ballad), and a soulless bath sponge ... all while being played with by loving, adoring, lobotomized children.

  20. Meteor (1979)

After a collision with a comet, a nearly 8km wide piece of the asteroid "Orpheus" is heading toward Earth. If it hits, it will cause an incredible catastrophe which will probably extinguish mankind. To stop the meteor, NASA wants to use the illegal (? How'd it get up there?) nuclear weapon satellite "Hercules," but soon discovers that it doesn't have enough firepower. Their only chance to save the world is to join forces with the USSR, which has also launched such an illegal satellite. (Of course, they're Russians. Everything they do is illegal.)
