  8. Cannibal Terror (1980 or maybe 1981)

A French/Spanish film where one character says, “This road’s right on the edge of cannibal country and they’d love to put you in the soup!” I mean she talks about it like it’s a gated community or something.

And many scenes not involving terror, like kids playing, cinematic shots through balustrades and hair care. And then there’s the paper doll/cat scene! Classic! So many, many random scenes.

Speaking of scenes. Much of this movie looks set in the Mohave desert or local forest. No jungles.

It does have kid kidnapping, but the kid isn’t particularly upset at any time.

    The…

  11. Friday Foster

Pam Grier's 11th and final film for American International Pictures (all made between 1971--1975).

The film is based on a newspaper comic strip of the same name by Jim Lawrence and Jorje Longeron that debuted January 18, 1970 and ran in 80 to 100 papers. It was the first mainstream comic strip with a black lead character. The end credits thank Chicago Tribune Syndication, which licensed the comic strip to newspapers. Ironically, the movie was released after the strip ended in 1974.

    Riff material includes:

    • Friday (Pam Grier) stealing a Hearst and Milk Truck (Dated reference ahead)
    • Hustling little brother

  12. Silver Streak (1976)

Silver Streak is a 1976 American buddy comedy thriller film about a murder on a Los Angeles-to-Chicago train journey. It was directed by Arthur Hiller and stars Gene Wilder, Jill Clayburgh, and Richard Pryor, with Patrick McGoohan, Ned Beatty, Clifton James, Ray Walston, Scatman Crothers, and Richard Kiel in supporting roles.

    Riff material includes:
    - Gene gets thrown off the train three times
    - The fact that today's technology would bring this chase to an end is hilarious to think about because it shows the struggle Gene has trying to get back onto the train.
    - Any train jokes are…

  13. Star Crash

This 1978 sci-fi gem is the poor man's Star Wars you're looking for, complete with feuding space factions and an evil space Czar. If the poor acting doesn't sell you, it's guaranteed the cringe worthy costumes, not-so-special effects, sexist stereotypes, and God awful man perms most definitely will.

Something Wonderful Happens ia a 1957 short by General Electric pushing their "Live Better Electrically" campaign. But the sub plot of the boy Eric and his attraction to Kathy, a woman his mother's age, is downright creepy. https://youtu.be/rSFy2LKzFHk

  15. The Fan (1981)

Not the 90s film with Wesley Snipes of the same name! This is a poorly made horror from 1981 with legendary actors James Gardner and Lauren Bacall. (How did they get in this???) Bacall plays a stage actress who gets stalked.
James Gardner called this the worse film he was ever in.

  18. It Happened One Christmas (1977)

1977 made-for-TV-movie gender-flipped version of It's a Wonderful Life, starring Marlo Thomas, Orson Welles, Wayne Rogers, and Cloris Leachman!

We know you guys couldn't do a VOD of the whole It's a Wonderful Life, so maybe this would be a decent substitute?
