  1. Friday Foster

Pam Grier's 11th and final film for American International Pictures (all made between 1971--1975).

The film is based on a newspaper comic strip of the same name by Jim Lawrence and Jorje Longeron that debuted January 18, 1970 and ran in 80 to 100 papers. It was the first mainstream comic strip with a black lead character. The end credits thank Chicago Tribune Syndication, which licensed the comic strip to newspapers. Ironically, the movie was released after the strip ended in 1974.

    Riff material includes:

    • Friday (Pam Grier) stealing a Hearst and Milk Truck (Dated reference ahead)
    • Hustling little brother

  3. Silver Streak (1976)

Silver Streak is a 1976 American buddy comedy thriller film about a murder on a Los Angeles-to-Chicago train journey. It was directed by Arthur Hiller and stars Gene Wilder, Jill Clayburgh, and Richard Pryor, with Patrick McGoohan, Ned Beatty, Clifton James, Ray Walston, Scatman Crothers, and Richard Kiel in supporting roles.

    Riff material includes:
    - Gene gets thrown off the train three times
    - The fact that today's technology would bring this chase to an end is hilarious to think about because it shows the struggle Gene has trying to get back onto the train.
    - Any train jokes are…

  4. Dim Sum Funeral

The Room style dialogue and pace.
    Actors seem robotic at times.
B plots that don’t go anywhere.

It’s a much watch. I think this movie is made for rifftrax.

  5. Something Wonderful Happens

Something Wonderful Happens ia a 1957 short by General Electric pushing their "Live Better Electrically" campaign. But the sub plot of the boy Eric and his attraction to Kathy, a woman his mother's age, is downright creepy. https://youtu.be/rSFy2LKzFHk

  6. The Fan (1981)

Not the 90s film with Wesley Snipes of the same name! This is a poorly made horror from 1981 with legendary actors James Gardner and Lauren Bacall. (How did they get in this???) Bacall plays a stage actress who gets stalked.
James Gardner called this the worse film he was ever in.

  9. It Happened One Christmas (1977)

1977 made-for-TV-movie gender-flipped version of It's a Wonderful Life, starring Marlo Thomas, Orson Welles, Wayne Rogers, and Cloris Leachman!

We know you guys couldn't do a VOD of the whole It's a Wonderful Life, so maybe this would be a decent substitute?

  11. Bloodstream (1985)

"When up and coming director Alistair Bailey is fired from a project by notorious VHS distributor William King, he believes that his footage has been left in the trash can. He soon discovers however that King tricked him and is planning to globally sell the movie that he spent ages working on. As the lust for revenge strengthens, Bailey decides to don the same disguise as the one used by his antagonist and make a new feature. Only this time, the effects will be real."

Made on the budget of 400 Brit pounds.

  13. Return of the Exorcist

A cheap Italian Exorcist rip-off called The Possessor, and also The Return of the Exorcist, and even Exorcist 3: Cries and Shadows. It’s basically a more crass Exorcist on what looks to be about a tenth of the budget. There’s not much make-up that I can see on the kid when he’s possessed, he just looks annoyed. That iconic poster shot of The Exorcist, where Father Merrin steps out into the mist in front of the MacNeill home is recreated laughably, completely devoid of any mood. Richard Conte (Don Barzini from The Godfather) just shows up, the camera zooms to…

  14. The Adventures of Pinocchio 1996

A mostly forgotten adaptation of the tale made in the mid-90's starring Martin Landau as Geppetto ("Khaaaan" jokes will be fully expected) and Jonathan Taylor Thomas as Pinocchio. Rob Schneider's presence in the movie will also give plenty of joke opportunities (as his presence in any movie is prone to do) as well as some good but uncanny valley puppet animatronics from The Henson Company. I nominate this one because it is one of those films from my childhood that I loved and now make fun of and riff myself occasionally.

  15. Subterfuge

A film that might as well be an 80 minute Baywatch episode with cheesy music. Weird editing involved with Speedboats. The best scene in the film is a grenade getting dropped into a boat, driving the instructor and three women to jump out for their lives. This happens close to the beginning of the film.

Two emotions will be felt from this film, but each person will feel one: It'll be So bad, it's good or... So bad, avoid like the Plague.

  17. Here Comes Tobor, 1956 (serial) Pilot episode

    [Public Domain?] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSdM2-PbPTQ

Tobor ('Robot' spelled backwards) was a nine-foot-tall robot that had come into the control of the U.S. government. In Here Comes Tobor, Tobor is owned by Professor Bruce Adams (played by Arthur Space) and mind-controlled by Adam's nephew Tommy (Tommy was played by Tommy Terrell. Tommy is, in the series, able to control Tobor through an ESP detector. Moreover, his IQ is supposedly the highest ever registered

  19. Creators: The Past 2019

    Creators: The Past (2019)
Italian Sci-fi "epic" with Gérard Depardieu and William Shatner
The only way it got a 3.2 rating on IMDB is by family and friends of the producers uping the ratings

Wooden dialogue, baffling subplots and enough plot holes to use the script as a collander
Great visual effects and decent musical score are the only redeeming qualities
It was even given 2 star ratings by some of the cast and crew!

  20. 70s and 80s Commercials

In the spirit of the Star Wars special, I and many others would be very interested in seeing you guys do specials of just old ads. Themed ones for Christmas maybe?

There's just something very watchable about those short little bits of forgotten culture being riffed on in succession.

I can just imagine it now... corny infomercials for things like Psychic Hotlines, sales pitches for MLM scams, weird local ads...
