  1. 2020 Presidential Debates

A live riffing on a debate between the Sleepy Hair Sniffer and the Great American Cheeto.

    It would be gold.

  2. The Hunted (1995)

    Reasons to do The Hunted

    1) Modern day ninjas
    2) Modern day samurai
    3) Christopher Lambert

This is a pretty cheesy movie about a western business man in ‘90s Japan who gets caught in a fight between modern day ninjas and Samurai. It would make a hilarious riff!

  3. Longshot (2001)

A teen movie where a bunch of Pop stars under the employment of Lou Perlman (who wrote the movie) cameo in it and there's a plot about corporate espionage, and believing in yourself somewhere in this.

  4. House of the Dead 2

Might be easier to get the film's rights than the original film by Uwe Boll. I wonder if the infamous director has stubbornly refused to let Rifftrax get the rights to his movies ... because ... well... it's Uwe Boll.

  6. The Terrornauts

Late '60s British sci-fi, with a budget so low even Doctor Who would disown it. Comic relief from Charles Hawtrey and the old woman whose dogs keep dying in A FISH CALLED WANDA. Also contains a Bond girl and aliens with broccoli for hair.

  7. Flatbed Annie and Sweetiepie: Lady Truckers

1970s trucker movie starring Annie Potts, recovering the rig of her cocaine trafficking husband played by FRED WILLARD.

Harry Dean Stanton isn't just a repo man in Repo Man, but is also the repo Man in Flatbed Annie. Stanton's performance in this is comical in his giant Cadillac (so incognito), and this film absolutely deserves a Riff.

  10. the mask

    The Mask

No not the Jim Carrey Ritalin fever dream, but the 1961 movie of the same name that was the likely inspiration for the green faced hero.

When a patient kills himself after experiencing awful nightmares that bleed into reality, a psychiatrist receives a package from the dead man - a skull mask said to open the human mind like a rotten melon. Unable to resist, our leading man puts on the mask and descends into the madness of his own subconscious which contains freaky images of fire, masks, and ...hands? Yes, lots and lots of hand imagery. Then…

  12. Clear Blue Tuesday

An insipid musical about 9/11 and the Tuesdays that are closet to the 11th of September from 2002 - 2009.
Critic's reviews include such gems as:

"Want to experience the worst sort of theater without the bother or expense of heading to New York?"

"Pretentious profiles in post-9/11 grief and confusion, Clear Blue Tuesday manages the not-inconsiderable feat of insulting both the memory of the World Trade Center attacks and the musical genre. "

"The compositions themselves, while largely penned by their performers, all contain the same structural weaknesses: There’s usually a relative minor bridge and a third-verse modulation amid…

  15. Petey Wheatstraw: The Devil's Son In Law

It's a blaxploitation horror comedy with some martial arts stuff thrown in for good measure. It somehow manages to be not very funny, not very scary, and not very actiony.
It has lots of painfully unfunny gags, a plot that drags on interminably, features a stand up comic getting revenge on his murderers in a really stupid way, Then even though that feels like it should be the climax, the movie just keeps going.

You can currently watch it free on Tubi TV, so here's a link:

  17. Sci-Fi High: The Movie Musical (2010)

Often out of focus Birdemic-level cinematography and echoey recorded songs with unintelligible lyrics.

  18. Warrior Queen

Sybil Danning as the titular "warrior queen" and a typical overacting Donald Pleasance as the ruler of Pompei star in this ridiculously low budget film about slaves and gladiators and uh...a volcanic eruption, apparently. With a soundtrack that sounds like someone's cat running over a Casio synthesizer, a poor man's Lou Ferrigno as a baddie gladiator, and footage obviously borrowed from another movie because they couldn't afford to hire enough extras, you have a pretty good formula for plenty of riffing. What's the plot, you ask? Good question! I think the writers forgot about that. But you do get to…

  19. Midsummer Night's Run

There is exactly enough wrong with this that you will have fun making the usual fun and enough right that watching it won't feel like actual torture... but you will have a lot of questions and I have exactly zero answers to any of them

What it is at its core: A "fantasy creatures enter urban setting" type deal, where the main character is meant to be redeemed.. but is not given enough backstory to pull it off? And cgi is spent on tricks that add flair... but no distinction between fairies, gnomes, and elves? Except the elf ears. The…
