2. I Believe in Santa

   This is a Christmas movie new on Netflix. 3 reasons to see this movie and make it a riftrax reality.
   It’s absolutely hilarious.
   It’s unhinged.
   It’s disorienting.
   I cannot believe what I watched.
   Definitely recommend seeing it.

   This is my Facebook review:

   Partner has me watching “I Believe in Santa”. This man literally believes in Santa. Literally. This whole movie is about his belief and having faith that Santa is real. It’s basically like a metaphor for God, that’s how deep his belief goes.

   The daughter in the movie won’t say what she wants for Christmas, it’s between her and Santa. He’s all like if she believes Santa will deliver it.

   Partner says: “I cannot read this movie, how do you think it will end. This suspense is killing me. What a wild movie.”

   Me: “That man is going to end up in the hospital with a full blown psychosis, when Santa doesn’t deliver that child her wish. His whole reality is going to crumble, because he’s living in a deep delusion.”

   This movie is ridiculous and cognitively infuriating, making it very funny and great for this show.

3. devil monster (1938?) (1946?)

   This is a movie with a complicated history, and it shows! While it is sometimes advertised as a 1946 movie, it's actually from the thirties. It has some of the most bizarre scenes, dialog and National Geographic levels of nudity, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

   Come for the hot native action and stay for the real time fishing scenes! It's the kind of movie where you're glad you're not an octopus!

4. Double Blast

   I just discovered and watched a hidden gem on Youtube: "Double Blast." Can your heart stand... Joe Estevez and Robert Z'Dar in a kids' movie about martial arts kids (The Malcolm in the Middle older brother's real-life older brother + a Stephanie Tanner rip-off) trying to save Linda Blair, who has been kidnapped by Joe Estevez, a gentler Robert Z'Dar, and a guy who looks like a combination of Yanni, Tommy Chong, and Dave Grohl. Didn't catch the character's name, but the credits give some hope it might be Rotundo. If the Asylum existed at the time and tried to combine Home Alone, Karate Kid, and the Goonies, and could spend no more than $200 bucks, this is what they'd do.

   And then there's the star. Think Don "The Dragon" Wilson, except with fewer facial expressions (1) and even less charisma (none). He has a nickname, though: Dale "Apollo" Cook, who the credits assure us is a five-time world kickboxing champ.

   From what I’ve read about MST3K and Rifftrax’ process, this should be easily riffable- there’s plenty of pauses for riffs to be inserted effectively. The writing is strange (not James Nguyen strange, but strange enough.) By the end, everyone is kung fu fighting and an actor clearly wearing a sheet convinces Robert Z’Dar that he’s a ghost. This is not explained, and I don’t remember the ghost being mentioned earlier (it may have been, I’m sure I blacked out more than once).

   I’m sure I have found what could and should become a Rifftrax classic; I sincerely hope some folks will check this out and join me in appreciating this description-defying doozie.

   Just wanted to say, Great job on the " Hide purchased riffs"  & the "Hide watched riffs " Switches. Love that new feature.
   Now how about a Dark Mode to change the Bright white back ground to a black back ground to make it easier on the eyes
   when watching and browsing the site in a dark room.

6. Devil Story

   Of every shot on film and distributed to cinemas feature I have ever sat through, this mess was worse than Plan Nine, The Room, Zombie Lake or anything else I can think of. Mike Bracken recently reviewed it and his quips made me realize not only could Rifftrax save it, but make it a good live event. It's a 70s French made train wreck consisting of random ideas... an old witch, a gut stomping mummy, and a bad rubber masked mutant in a nazi uniform running about a cemetery, some nonsense about a toy boat representing a shipwreck atop a cliff having hidden treasure and a guy shooting at a (not very) phantom horse in day for night shot scenes that go on for what feels like twenty minutes. Is there a plot? Probably at some point but it was misplaced and nobody knows where it is now. Does anything in it make sense? 🤔 I don't believe so. It is begging to be riffed.

16. Any of the Nostalgia Critic movies

    It may be strange to not specify a particular one of these incredibly unwatchable movies, but any one of them would work. The existence of these movies are very perplexing, they were born from an Era of the internet that is now long gone. Some people in these movies went on to a rewarding career such as Sci-Fi author Lindsay Ellis and music critic Todd in the Shadows, however this isn't what they'd consider a highlight of their career.
    The movies are similar to Michael Scarn: Threat Level Midnight but less professional. The movies are extra galling because they pretend as though they are riffing on the quality of "bad" movies while creating a new nadir for schlock. Rather than being funny they just end up being awkward and uncomfortable. The oddly specific opinions of the Nostalgia Critic himself make you wonder if he even understands or likes film as a medium.
    The whole series is an attempt to treat a bunch of internet reviewers as some sort of pantheon of comic book characters with The Nostalgia Critic at the top even though the other reviewers had no intention of being seen like that. There's something very uncomfortable and a little sad about these movies.

18. Ouija Shark

    Late twenties "teens" summon a flying ghost shark from a mysterious ouija board. Written, produced, partly directed by and starring the same guy (always a sign of quality!), this film makes Birdemic look like Citizen Kane. No-one acts like a human being, they are clearly all graduates from the 'Rod' school of acting, made on a shoestring budget and the CGI shark is just *chef's kiss'. That's without mentioning the final cameo! I hate to say it, but this film might be too bad even for the experienced Riffers!
