first man
This movie was way, way overrated. Zapruder level of cinematography, wooden characters trying their very hardest to not say a single world. It takes real, concerted effort to make the events of Apollo 11 boring.

Intruder
How do fight big business from coming in and swallowing up your small town grocery store? Sam Raimi shows is in this late 80s horror film. First stay out of Michigan and second more importantly stay the **** out of retail. If your just insistent then be prepared to end up like some of the poor souls in the Walnut Lake Supermarket. Yes I said Supermarket. Not some remote lake or a dark desolate neighborhood on Haloween night. Sam Raimi takes us to a fright fest at the equivalent of an Aldis.

Frightmare (1983)
There are two Frightmare movies, but this one is the more riff worthy as a bunch of young adults steal the body of a famed horror actor and he comes back to life for revenge! He is also doing a pretty bad Vincent Price/Christopher Lee combo impersonation...

Mannix
The MST3K crew often made references to "Mannix," one of my all-time favorite shows. Why not do a riff on an episode of that classic series? Season 1 had Mannix working for a hi-tek detective agency. Mannix's specialty was insubordination. Season 2 onward he was on his own, with a regular stable of frenemy lieutenants, and oddly colored sportjackets.

New Year's Eve
The Bechdel Cast podcast finished up 2020 by discussing the movie "New Year's Eve," overall giving examples of why it's very bad.

So I hope you aren't too busy to give this one a watch. When you talk over a movie, that makes me sad-mad, so skip this one, if there aren't enough gaps in the dialog.

Poison Ivy
From Wikipedia:
Poison Ivy is a 1985 American made-for-television romantic comedy film starring Michael J. Fox and Nancy McKeon, directed by Larry Elikann, and written by Bennett Tramer. The film premiered on NBC on February 10, 1985 and aired just months before Fox's feature film breakthrough Back to the Future and follow-up Teen Wolf.
Reasons to riff:
1. You just did High School USA, now do the follow up!
2. Nancy Mckeon and Michael J Fox are back!
3. Summer camp in the eighties what could go wrong???10 votes -
DUST
DUST (2001)
"LIVE BY THE GUN. DIE BY THE GUN." -teaser tagline from original posters.
A criminal (Adrian Lester) breaks into an apartment only to be attacked by the tenant (Rosemary Murphy). After being subdued, the criminal is held at gun point by the tenant who begins recounting a rambling story about two brothers (Joseph Fiennes & David Wenham) whom leave the Wild West for the Middle East.
Don't let my sucienct description fool you; this movie GARBAGE. It is ridiculous at best, and unwatchable at worst. The acting is terrible, the whole script is a runaway hot mess -…

Pirates of the Great Salt Lake (2006)
A low budget film with the gaps and sound issues of classics like Roller Gater. Made in the spirit of Napolian Dynomite Pirates of the Great Salt Lake is the story of two young men who dream of being pirates despite being nowhere near the ocean and not having access to a ship.
The preview is linked below. The full movie is also on YouTube.

The Terror Within (1989)
Another underground facility and another monster on the prowl and yet another movie where George Kennedy visibly looks like a man who is wondering where it all went wrong! A movie about a distant future where monsters roam the surface of the earth while the last of humanity lives in bunkers, bunkers with air ducts large enough to accommodate a monster when a woman gives birth to it WITHIN! It also features Butch Stevens! Who is Butch Stevens? Why, he is the hero's dog and yes, he is credited in the title as Butch Stevens!

Petey Wheatstraw: The Devil's Son In Law
It's a blaxploitation horror comedy with some martial arts stuff thrown in for good measure. It somehow manages to be not very funny, not very scary, and not very actiony.
It has lots of painfully unfunny gags, a plot that drags on interminably, features a stand up comic getting revenge on his murderers in a really stupid way, Then even though that feels like it should be the climax, the movie just keeps going. You can currently watch it free on Tubi TV, so here's a link:

The Appointment (1981)
Girl gets sucked into the woods within the first ten minutes and you are thinking to yourself, this is going to be interesting! The rest of the film a lot of puttering around the house, weird dreams and a very weak ending!
