It's not the best preserved, but very riffable, film on the old taco dribbles.7 votes -
Iron Eagle
Nothing says awesome like a hot shot fighter pilot that has to invade a country and save his p.o.w. Dad. Only problem is he stinks at flying unless he's listening to sweet 70s and 80s light rock tunes

Masters of the Gridiron
Masters of the Gridiron: This film has everything you could ever hope for in a movie... the '86 Cleveland Browns on a barbarian quest for Super Bowl glory, mid-western football players pretending to be samurai warriors, Cleveland favorites the Michael Stanley Band, UNSCRIPTED BEAR WRESTLING... Hell, it's even got Tiny Tim performing a gripping rendition of "The Lord of the League!" Dare you hope that this could go on for fourteen perplexing minutes? YES.

Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures or any of those supernatural-type shows. Also anything about Bigfoot, Lochness Monster, etc. Love the Richard Terry riffs, more of those!

Holiday Inn
Holiday Inn has the song White Christmas and a musical number involving black face on Lincoln's birthday. I have watched it many years. Fred Astire and Bing Crosby are great in the movie but the movie needs to be riffed

476 A.D. Chapter One: The Age of Aquarius
This insane take on classic cinema is an indie from Colorado and perfect for a riffing - a story about the fall of Rome shot mostly shot on green screen in one man's apartment complete with sequences that are suggestive of an acid trip and hilarious by themselves but are perfect set ups for riffing such as this instantly classic scene: https://youtu.be/bNh9hcmHD_0
Just now released on Amazon VOD, it is ripe for for riffing!! And this is coming from the actor who played Ceasar.

They Live
John Carpenter's 1988 cult classic isn't a bad movie, but it could be very funny if parodied. There's a seriousness in the film that's matched with a very odd conceit -- that the world is being invaded by spacemen who are vulnerable only to Roddy Piper in sunglasses. It has the longest fist fight in world history, a highly 1980s style, and its a good bet that the movie is popular enough to be in lots of DVD collections already.

Death Proof
Why?
1) You get to make Vroom Vroom noises.
2) Plenty of quiet time to rant and riff
3) When else are you going to be able to make fun of Kurt Russel and get away with it?21 votes -

"I am"
"I am" is a profoundly weird short from the '70s that is theoretically supposed to be educational. From what I can tell, its subject matter is some kind of vaguely existential examination of what it means for a person to have worth. This is all for middle/high school kids mind you. Mostly it just consists of a sad kid wondering around a decaying rust belt city being belittled by his friends and family while being occasionally interrupted by some sort of rapid-fire flashbacks to random events, an action that is accompanied by stings of accordion music. It also appears to…
