  1. The Big Game (1973)

A 1970s film about 2 mercenaries trying to protect a ship that has a machine that can control people's minds! This sounds riffable, it even has Santa from Space Mutiny in it!

The film is also known as Control Factor

  3. Willow Disney Series

Should riff on the series more than the movie, especially the princess who talks like a “bruh”/bro and has the only accent that doesn’t sound like others British accents. Movie would be nice too. I will donate if I know you guys would suggest it.

  4. the odyssey 1997 miniseries

Epically bad as well as epically long. This miniseries does not fail to deliver bad acting, horrible dialogue, overacting, and odd assortment of animals, such a treat to make fun of.

  5. Owls Lords of Darkness

1983 short about owls; no not a rock band. Pretty interesting information, but the narrator, is pretty dull. It sorta has that Boggy Creek 2 and Buffalo Rider vibe.
Starts out at the beach, because we all know that owls are known for their beach nesting right? LOTS of mice were harmed in the filming of this short.

  7. Future Cops (1993)

You want a fever dream of Bootleg films? Here's one for the masses, fellow Riffers. Future Cops is a 1993 Hong Kong film that is summed up as Street Fighter II meets The Terminator and Doraemon... it makes sense in context.

One of the most bizarre films to ever embrace the Hong Kong action style, directed by Wong Jing (the same year he did the live-action City Hunter) and very very very loosely based on Street Fighter, in the sense that the characters look like Street Fighter characters, but they're not named after them, except for Chun Li, but only…

  10. TNT Jackson (1974)

Written by Roger Corman's film Alumni Dick Miller, TNT Jackson stars Playboy Playmate Alumni Jeannie Bell as the Martial Arts Titular character. Riff material includes:

    • A Filipino-shot movie with the Philippines standing in for Hong Kong, directed by old hand Cirio H. Santiago.
    • Staples of low budget kung fu flick: Crime lords, Afros, revenge, flares, and everyone knows kung fu (Somehow?)
    • The best scene happens when Drug Lord Sid's Chinese Assistant Ming (Played by an uncredited Joe Mari Avellana) wants to exchange sex with T.N.T. and she says: If you want black you got black! (Cue lights on, lights off…

  11. Maximum Impact

One of the four film collaborations between Matthias Hues and Mark Dacascos. Looks like another RedBox Rental Action film. Like Showdown in Manila, beware of lack of plot and action.

  13. Death Race (2008)

A remake of Roger Corman's Death Race 2000, but it's actually close to being Twisted Metal the Movie... minus Calypso and Sweet Tooth. David Carradine stars in both Death Race 2000 and this remake, but he's a brief cameo via voice over at the beginning.

Robin Shou also stars in it, but as a side character known as 14K. Mortal Kombat jokes are allowed, Riffers.

  14. Electric Dreams (1984)

A bizarre little film with current relevance since folks are talking a lot about AI. In this movie, and I use that term loosely, an architect competes with an 80's era AI for a woman's affections. Weird on many levels, it kind of foreshadows modern phones and tablets.

  17. The Mole People

In the tradition of such films as Plan 9 From Outer Space and Reefer Madness, this film starts with an introduction. In this case we get a lecture about hollow Earth theory. You can actually see the point where the lecturer becomes self conscious about his hands. From the multiple times he indicates the roundness of the Earth to the two seconds he puts his hands on his lapel he is a ballet of fidgety.
Then the movie starts which, it turns out, has absolutely nothing to do with a hollow Earth. Instead it's about a civilization that has grown…

  18. An Outbreak of Salmonella/An Outbreak of Staphylococcus (US Short Films, 1954)

Basically, these are films that were created by the United States Department of Health created in the 1950s created in a series of videos showcasing to people how diseases are caused and spread through incompetence. Honestly, the National Library of Medicine's YouTube account is a goldmine of historical videos showcasing somewhat archaic short films with advice that can now be regarded as dubious (particularly in the field of mental health).

The only issue, though, is that Staphylococcus... is the scientific name for staph infections, and that short film doesn't really have the unintentional humor of people running for the bathroom.…

  20. Double Blast

I just discovered and watched a hidden gem on Youtube: "Double Blast." Can your heart stand... Joe Estevez and Robert Z'Dar in a kids' movie about martial arts kids (The Malcolm in the Middle older brother's real-life older brother + a Stephanie Tanner rip-off) trying to save Linda Blair, who has been kidnapped by Joe Estevez, a gentler Robert Z'Dar, and a guy who looks like a combination of Yanni, Tommy Chong, and Dave Grohl. Didn't catch the character's name, but the credits give some hope it might be Rotundo. If the Asylum existed at the time and tried to…
