  1. the mask

    The Mask

No not the Jim Carrey Ritalin fever dream, but the 1961 movie of the same name that was the likely inspiration for the green faced hero.

When a patient kills himself after experiencing awful nightmares that bleed into reality, a psychiatrist receives a package from the dead man - a skull mask said to open the human mind like a rotten melon. Unable to resist, our leading man puts on the mask and descends into the madness of his own subconscious which contains freaky images of fire, masks, and ...hands? Yes, lots and lots of hand imagery. Then…

  2. Dance 'Til Dawn

    Cheesy with an insane cast!

It is the day of the senior prom, and everybody is getting into the swing of things. First we meet Dan (Chris Young), who is buying a corsage for his "date", however he is not doing a very good job of it. When he leaves the florist, he runs into Patrice (Christina Applegate) and Roger (Matthew Perry). It is obvious from this confrontation that Dan is not the most popular guy in school and also that Patrice tells Roger exactly what to do. From there, we pan over to the girls, Shelly (Alyssa Milano), Lori,…

  4. The Wickedest Witch

This NBC made for TV movie stars Rue McClanahan as the witch Avarissa, Paul Fusco's puppets (yes, the guy who did the show ALF), and has Burgess Meredith as the narrator. It'll be a quick riff (under 30 minutes), but a hilarious one.

  6. the mutations

    1. Donald Pleasance plays the lead mad scientist.
    2. Tom Baker plays a circus owner!
    3. Michael Dunn is in it, too! Those 3 reasons alone make it a must-riff, IMHO:

  7. Fork Lift Driver Klause

    German: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DILjd69C0o
    English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPpwLCvPAME

Why riff it? (1) Twice as many hand amputations as Shake Hands with Danger. (2) Your pick of German dialog w/English subtitles, or an English dub with... amazing ... lip sync. (3) Previously unrecognized influence on other films, including the Black Knight scene from Search for the Holy Grail, and the Saw franchise.

  8. the puppetoon movie

The Puppetoon Movie is a 1987 animated film written, produced, and directed by Arnold Leibovit. It is based on the Puppetoon characters created by George Pal in the 1930s and 1940s, and features Gumby, Pokey and Arnie the Dinosaur, who host the framing story. Its framing story stars the voices of **** Beals, Art Clokey, Paul Frees and Dal McKennon as the main characters.
The original 1987 release of The Puppetoon Movie contained 11 Puppetoons. The 2000 DVD release and 2013 Blu-ray release each include the same 12 additional Puppetoons. trust me the original, dvd and blu ray versions are…

  9. Once Upon a Time (1934)

This obscure 1934 short, produced for MetLife, was made to remind its audiences about why people should be careful and courteous when driving through a rather absurd premise involving two goblins that look like dark-colored snowmen ("Discourtesy" and "Carelessness") wreaking havoc and getting fairy tale characters into wrecks. Why? I don't know.

You can find the film, as well as specific information, in this link below: https://www.filmpreservation.org/preserved-films/screening-room/once-upon-a-time-1934

  10. The Cursed (2010)

It’s a cheesy low budget monster movie set in a small town in Tennessee. It was shown on SyFy and is currently on Amazon Prime. I’d particularly like to see it get the RiffTrax treatment because I had a very, very small part as an extra during the town hall scene. Not many things could make me happier than being in a RiffTrax movie. And the film definitely deserves everything they could throw at it.

  11. Worm Eaters

A Ted V. Mikels masterpiece, this "film" from 1977 has everything you'd want in a film:

An annoying tune, sung throught the entire opening by a xhoor of brats

A loner hillbilly who talks to worms

Worms who understand said hillbilly .

Hillbilly who takes order from worms.

Hillbilly tricking townsfolk into eating worms.

Townsfolk turning into worm-men, who just look like 70s dudes in sleeping bags.

Worm-men demanding the hillbilly make them some worm-women so they can populate the world with a master race of worm-people.

AND a budget so low, you wonder if Ted Mikels forced his "actors"…

  12. The Appointment (1981)

Girl gets sucked into the woods within the first ten minutes and you are thinking to yourself, this is going to be interesting! The rest of the film a lot of puttering around the house, weird dreams and a very weak ending!

  14. Alpha Gateway

An Australian film with parallel worlds but instead of sliders we have microwave oven type devices as the portals. Kinda crazy, kinda kooky, and nobody seems to be able to land on exactly the correct world. Beautiful vistas in Australia, though.

  15. Twelve Pole Manor

This movie was filmed locally in my home town. I am one of the leading rolls and it would be perfect for RiffTrax! Lots of one liners and a throwback to classic slasher horror.

  16. Dead Dudes in The House (1991)

The film follows a group of teenagers who travel up to a dilapidated house for some fixing up. Unbeknownst to them, the house is occupied by a murderous old woman and her sultry daughter, who proceed to pick the teens off one by one.
Full of fun, cheese, and dark scenes that you can't make out anything in. The guys on the poster aren't even in the movie. Are you 'Hangin Tough' enough to check this out?

  17. Battledogs

Werewolf super soldiers in New York starring Ernie Hudson among others. It's done in earnest and not tongue and cheek and has something riff-worthy at almost every scene.

  18. Timemaster

From the writer/director of "McBain", starring the writer/director's son in an obvious attempt to win Father of the Year away from Greydon Clark

Also starring: Pat Morita, pro-wrestling personalities, and a pre-fame Michelle Williams (!)

To be honest, I haven't seen it (surprise) so I don't know how riffable it actually is. But given the description, director, and stars I'll go ahead and say it is

  20. River Of Death

This smells like it needs a riff from Mike, Bill and Kevin A guide (Michael Dudikoff) encounters cannibals, Nazis (Robert Vaughn, Donald Pleasence) and a lost city in his search for a kidnapped client in the 1960s Amazon.
