5. The Brave

   Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando. A down-on-his-luck American Indian recently released from jail is offered the chance to "star" as the victim of a snuff film, the resulting pay of which could greatly help his poverty stricken family.

   One of Brando's most insane performances, and I think the studios would love to have this one back.

6. Fur for the Future

   It's a recently-found 1950's short film by Idaho's Fish and Game Department about re-homing beavers/muskrats/etc. by loading them into crates and parachuting them into their new home site! 11. invisible sister

    Disney movie about a typical neglected genius, Chloe, who inadvertently stumbles upon the formula for invisibility while trying to identify SUGAR. Even weirder, a moth turned invisible by the formula escapes Chloe's garage-lab and ends up getting drank by her older, popular, obnoxious sister, turning her and everything she touches for some reason invisible to. Now Chloe and her sister must scramble to reverse the effects before they become permanent.

14. Carver's Gate

    The world is a bleak desolate place where the people live in elevated cities. As the ground is uninhabitable, the citizens spend most of their lives wasting their time in virtual reality. Carver is a dream-breaker whose job is to enter the world of VR and fix what is wrong. And what is wrong is that his gal pal Dinah has been murdered in VR which should not be possible. But Carver soon finds that Dinah has constructed a transducer which allows people to enter VR without other equipment, but creates a rift. That rift causes people to enter VR, but also allows the creatures from the game to enter the real world.

15. Aladdin and the Adventure Through Time (1999)

    An attempt at family entertainment by (in)famous (and cheap) filmmaker Roger Corman and Cirio Santiago, "Aladdin and the Adventure Through Time" shamelessly rips off both Disney's "Aladdin" and Turner Animation's "The Pagemaster," complete with animation that makes the Zelda CDi games look like "Kiki's Delivery Service." Notable voice actors include Cathy Caradini, Jim Cummings, and E.G. Daily, but no amount of voice talent can redeem the cheapness found in this cheap, sorry excuse for an animated film. Oh, and the protagonists make history accurate for their own gain, even when it endangers others' lives. Bravo.

17. Bell, Book and Candle (1958)

    Now RiffTrax friends, I'm setting the TARDIS B-Movie ChronoScope way back to the 1950s, but fortunately in colour. And it's a Jimmy Stewart film! And it was one which also inspired the TV Series 'Bewitched.'

    Basically our mystic tale commences with Gillian 'Gil' Holroyd, a modern day witch with her familiar, Pyewacket (I stand corrected, 80s films weren't the only one with odd names..), has become fascinated with her neighbor, Shep Henderson, a publisher, and decides she wants him. But regrettably, Shep has a beau, Merle Kittridge, who was Gil's poison penpal (aka 'frenemy') from her college days, and Gil does everything she can to discourage her and get the guy.

    Meanwhile, Shep's co-worker, Sidney (played by Ernie Kovacs), is working on a book about witches and witchcraft, and Gil's brother, Nicky (Jack Lemmon, not Adam Sandler, remember, this is the 1950s), devilishly decided to help Sidney with his research along the way.

    Funnier moments are played by Gil's Aunt Queenie (Elsa Lanchester) and Bianca de Passe (Hermione Gingold - who also played the Old Witch in 'Winter of the Witch.') in this tale.

    Why RiffTrax should take a crack at this Classic:

    1. The cast itself: Jimmy Stewart, Ernie Kovacs and Jack Lemmon to name a few, which was funny they were in this flick about witches and witchcraft. And they deliver their lines well, but it's funny how Stewart acts oblivious towards the whole witch thing, despite the fact Kovacs plays a publisher researching the topic, and Lemmon, the cunning warlock to decides on helping him.

    2. The supernatural tale itself: Jimmy Stewart is mostly remembered for George Bailey in 'It's a Wonderful Life.' So it's hilarious to see him in a film where this time he's dealing not with angels but witches and the fact this was one of the cinematic stories inspiring William Asher to create the romance between 'Samantha and Darrin,' the other was the B&W tale, 'I Married A Witch.'

    3. The first film in colour: in the late 50s there were some flicks that were produced in technocolor, but usually it was reserved for musicals and grand productions, so it's interesting how this one was produced in color without someone breaking into song. But one hilarious moment is when Gil is tormenting Merle in the Zodiac Club through the musical moment with the band playing, encouraged by Lemmon's character no less.

    Overall this is one which would be great to riff, either Live or as a VOD.

18. Runaway (1984)

    Michael Critchon (of Jurassic Park fame) brought us this little bizarre tale of a detective and spider droids, and the KISS rock star who planned it all..

    About the time Tom Selleck was making the jump from Magnum P.I. to films, he decided to go from a private detective in Hawaii to a futuristic police officer who tracks down rogue robots (watch out, Tom, Crow and Gypsy).

    Anyway imagine if someone took I, Robot, spliced it with the backdrop to 'Demolition Man,' and then put in the grizzled cop from 'Blade Runner' (but with a kid) and you'd have this movie.

    Oh, and the chick who played in RoboCop in this one as well.

    Here's the spiel, famille on this synopsis: somewhere in a Jetsons/Blade Runner future, robots do practically everything for people. But because things aren't always flawless, Jack Ramsay (Ramsay? Man, what was up with these names?!), belongs to a specialized police force that deals with rogue robots. Mainly by shutting them down with their special guns that emit electromagnetic pulses. Usually it's a normal day for Jack, until a mysterious outbreak of robots going murderous occurs (doncha hate when that happens).

    Mysteriously, the only clue Jack has are these mysterious spider droids that kill their victims by injecting acid into them (no seriously). Especially those who know something about why these mechanical wonders are becoming homicidal, mechanical wonders.

    Turns out Gene Simmons, aka Luther, (yes, Luther and NOT Luthor) is some sort of twisted genius who plans on making robots go nuts and slaughter mankind for his own enjoyment because he wasn't loved as a human... or something to that effect... and now has targeted Jack's son for some reason. Bizarre, isn't it? Not target the powerful men, nor government officials, or even the cops that can shut down the rogue robots, but Jack's son... talk about flawed plans, but hey, when you were a rock star, guess you can do anything, eh?

    Here's why RiffTrax should riff this film:

    1. Hilarious overdone premise: Ever since Metropolis, we've seen films where robots usually turn on their human masters, but in this case, they don't just go rogue immediately.

    2. Gene Simmons: Strange how I've never seen Mr. Simmons out of makeup, and the fact it's the first time he's played a villain, but from what you see, it's quite obvious. You know, how the producers want you to think he's not evil, but you know he is, and everyone is oblivious to it, except for the hero, who--after wasting several minutes of film--discovers he's not quite the 'good kid next door.'

    3. The Spider Bots: The funniest killer robots since The Daleks, for the fact nobody can actually crush these things and they just sit there and let them inject them. Whereas Tom Selleck goes through a dramatic scene with them, and when Gene deals with them, he just freaks out rather than swatting them off. Seriously, you could just throw an EMP bomb at them, but nobody thinks these things can be defeated and like the Daleks, they just keep on coming regardless.. in fact they used them in the trailers and promos for the film itself, even though you don't see them much in the film itself. Except when they're offing someone who keeps attempting to warn Jack about them, or they're just being a total pudhball in the film.

20. the ouija exorcism

    Its new, but maybe you guys can get to it somehow.

    This movie is a fantastic 'horror' film. Some key points that will really sell this masterpiece for the ages:

    • Hunky leading male role who's main expressions consist mainly of "kissy face duck lips", and who is a keen mumbler.
    • Utter darkness in every scene, even in the bright daylight.
    • Camera's that have a penchant for being out of focus for no apparent reason.
    • A fair amount of driving, parking, and a few choice moments of walking from one place to the other.
    • Demons that sound like angry chipmunks.
    • Several awkward attempts at humor.
    • A couple scenes actually focused on the Ouija board sprinkled amidst a lot of arguing about relationships.
    • A plot that rolls over on itself and dies by the end of the film.

    I'm not sure what I was supposed to feel when watching this, but mostly I felt numb. Maybe a little dead inside.

    The movie cover seems entirely unrelated to the movie. I'm not sure who that woman is, nothing even close to this scene ever happens in the film itself.
