1. The Crawling Eye

   At the end of the very last episode of MST3K, Mike, Tom [Kevin], and Crow [Bill] sit back and start watching The Crawling Eye.

   As any good MSTie knows, The Crawling Eye was the first cable episode of MST3K, and while it included Mike and Kevin in the writing credits, it was performed by Joel, Trace, and Josh.

   So... Let's have a new riff, the way season 10 Mike and the bots would have done it. Let what was full circle become full circle again. :)

5. Knock Knock

   I don't even know where to begin with the awfulocity of this movie.
   How about I just say "Keanu Reeves"
   A dad (Who -gross-ly overdoes acting like a dad) stays home alone to architect (But barely does any architecting) when 2 girls show up, tormenting him almost as much as watching him torments the viewer.

6. Sixteen Candles

   1984 movie about a girl's family forgetting about her 16th birthday and her day is just all around crappy. She thinks her crush doesn't know she's alive because of his bangin hot girlfriend who looks like she's 25, her annoying grandparents are over her house for her sister's wedding and brought a weird foreign exchange student along with them, and she can't seem to escape getting hit on by a wimpy geek.

    • Joe Don Baker, "Mitchell" himself, is the lead actor.
    • Desi Arnaz, Jr. plays a doomed cop.
    • Earl Eischied, the character Joe Don Baker plays, is a Southern-accented chief of detectives in New York City. Um, why couldn't the two-part movie be set in a city such as Houston or Atlanta instead?
    • Um, is it safe to say that Christine Belford wears the top half of a meter maid's uniform in this telefilm?

12. The Adventures of Ford Fairlane

    Take a 1990's comedian known for his New Jersey accent and dirty limericks and give him a movie to showcase those talents. Andrew 'Dice' Clay stars in this action movie where he gets to play a street-wise private detective with more snappy one liners than Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickles.
    And he has a gun that pops out of his sleeve to surprise the bad guys. That really happens.
    Enjoy hair, jackets, and jokes on par with Cool as Ice in this classic, riffable tour de force.

13. Death spa

    This movie has everything. Horrible acting. Horrible dialogue. Horrible special effects. Horrible 80's workout wear. A... plot? Story? Maybe? It's hard to say.
    We know some guy owns a gym/spa, and his wife is dead. Her ghost might be haunting the spa, or else her crazy brother is exacting revenge by hacking the spa's NASA-grade computer system that they totally have... it's unclear.
    The spa also has a dungeon basement. This is important.
    Nothing makes sense, it's impossible to care about any of the "characters," plot lines are introduced at random and abandoned immediately...
    This is a train wreck of a film. Please make fun of it.

14. If Looks Could Kill (1991)

    21 Jump Street's Richard Grieco in a "teen James Bond" quasi-spoof. Why didn't this guy's career ever take off? I could almost hear the riffs as I watched this.

    This two movie series would be excellent to riff. Whilst watching in the movies I couldn't help but riff it to myself; including a scene where the driver had clearly gone to the "Han Solo school of evasive maneuvers"

17. Android (1982)

    Just like 'Star Wars' spawned countless intergalactic battle knockoffs (even worse than the Star Wars Holiday Special), the movie 'Alien' apparently spawned a lot of fugitives trapped in space with psychotic aliens, androids, entities, pirates, used car salesmen... you get the drift.

    Basically here's the plot which would do both Dr. Forrester and his mother, Pearl proud:

    Apparently somewhere out in space, Dr. Daniel, and his shy, cumbersome assistant, Max, conduct 'illegal' experiments with androids, and I don't mean forcing them to watch bad movies with some guy shot into space neither (after all, this sort of thing wouldn't occur for another decade or so..).

    Anyway, before you can say, 'Let's go to the Honeycomb Hideout,' three fugitives from the law show up and crash the party. One happens to be female, whom Max is smitten. While one has serious anger management issues, and the other is paranoid, and you know THAT always GOES WELL in these type situations.

    Anyhoo, as you'd expect, a lot of bizarre killing and fun stuff occurs with the Space Police arriving and with the most inexplicable ending that makes 'Santa Claus and the Ice Bunny' appear quite normal.

    So why should RiffTrax take a sonic riffdriver with this film? Three reasons:

    (1) The bizarrely-unintentional hilarious scenes: Case in point, when Max is learning about the birds and the bees from the space station's computer: the computer shows an image of a male and female, and as it's describing love between them, the images bump nipples as if that helps the process. Another comes from the fact one of the fugitives becomes psychotic at the drop of a hat. Seriously, as the group lands on the space station, though he pretends him and his crew are lost travelers (like ANYONE'S going to BUY that!), he's already plotting to off Dr. Daniel and Max and take over the station. While the other just gets paranoid over every little thing, and the females the only single person of the group who is sane.

    1. How this film can take a relatively simple plot, then turn it into an incomprehensible space opera. Seriously, the movie does lull you into a false sense of security that this will be an exciting space adventure, but instead goes into this inexplicable thing about these fugitives bickering, until they get picked off one-by-one. And you actually root for their deaths just to get the plot moving along.

    2. The strange ending which only leaves you wondering what in heck did you just watch. Not to tip off the ending itself, but about several minutes into the film itself, you'll realize something's not quite right with Max. And do you kind of predict what happens with the female android Max and Dr. Daniel. But then comes all these twists with makes you wonder if this was directed by a young M. Night Shamalyan.

    Overall, this was one of the funner sci-fi knockoffs, because it really does go off the deep-end in plot and acting, not to mention the fact that you don't really see a lot of futuristic sci-fi killing in this.

19. Rottweiller... The Dogs of Hell (1982).

    He had a studio in the small NC town I work in. Plus he shot a movie in the building where our offices are. And inside one of the drawing cabinets I found several of his movie posters from way back.

    My boss knew of him. Most people around here did. Plus he used a lot of local "talent" to put into his movies. So the acting may be a tad questionable.

    I remember going to the movies as a 12 year old and seeing this gem. Got a big container of popcorn, a depth charge size cola, the goofy 3D glasses .... and within 20 minutes of the movie, I almost fell asleep.

    I watched some of it recently online. Ooooh is fraught with goofiness, bad acting, and contrived camera shots for 3D effects.
