An error occurred while saving the comment Vic commentedA truly bizarre film with many, many funny bits. Not intentionally funny but funny none the less. Like the wild Mad Max costumes and cars that the Atlanteans use...they are just laugh out loud funny. The plot is truly warped and you might need a notepad to keep track of who is who and what the blank is going on. Seriously. Just so riff worthy on many levels though it may truly cause pain to those riffing it.

An error occurred while saving the comment Vic commentedTruly good riffing material. I mean an amateur could do some riffing on a number of the scenes. For example, it opens with a slow pan of three people in tubes while playing a wounded whale soundtrack. I liked that the top-secret base was in a neighborhood. Scenes where the dog is smarter than the characters and voiceovers/narrations that often don't make sense...and the random guitar smashing!
If your problem is you can spot tormented souls at 100 yards, as one-character states, the last place you'd want to be is in an 80's bar!
Just so many whacked out bits...a riff goldmine IMHO.

An error occurred while saving the comment Vic commentedThis is seriously good riffing material. The story is odd and formulaic but still somewhat amusing with bizarre inner space aliens trying to take over mankind with windup toys and Leonard Nimoy! Even amateurs can watch this and come up with some funny bits for certain scenes. It's also very sixties as in Ed Wood sixties. It has real potential for riffing...check it out!

An error occurred while saving the comment Vic commentedA seriously good riff candidate. Nic "What do you have in the bag? A bat?" Cage plays an annoying middle manager who develops a fixation for roaches after making a poor date choice by dating a vampire. It also has Jennifer Beals and Maria Conchita Alonso making it a mid-80's trifecta. Think "American Psycho" but way stranger and that was the movie where Christian Bale flat tells people he's a serial killer and they basically ignore him! Please, please riff....

An error occurred while saving the comment Vic commentedIf you like a monster suit so cheap looking that it makes Feeders look like high art, a scientist whose "head wound" changes shape and size on a regular basis, a creepy Egon and the 60's then this is your film. Neil Sedaka sings but never appears. Classic drive in fare back in the day.

An error occurred while saving the comment Vic commentedClassic 70's oldies drive in film where the beer and weed actually improved the movie! Many insane moments, annoying music (!?) and characters.
A seriously good riff candidate...it's like an MTV music video on crack! Very, very funny without riffing!!! It's that riffable.
I'm thinking Jan Michael Vincent lost a bet to star in this mess...it would explain his attitude through most of the film too! You'd swear in the opening scenes that Jan is either drunk or hungover. It would explain a lot.
I mean any movie that opens with Jan Michael Vincent kicking a guy in the nuts while berating him before his execution is worth riffing! And what kind of outfits are those women wearing?? Shades of "Things to Come". Oh, and there are railing kills!! Death by bugs and just lots of heavy metal hair weirdness!!
