Voyage of the Rock Aliens (1984)
I have a dream, that one day, children of ALL RACES and CREEDS may be able to watch a Riff of Voyage of the Rock Aliens with Mike, Kevin, and Bill. And maybe even Bridget Nelson and Mary Jo Pehl if they are available.
Yes, I have a dream...

Sounds like a epic choice!

I am genuinely amazed that rifftrax hasn't done this one already! It's so entertainingly awful even on its own, I can't imagine how much funnier it'd be with the guys on commentary!

Not only is this eminently riffworthy, but the clunky humour leaves plenty of space for M,K'n'B to put the boot in with extreme prejudice.
It is... magnificent! And there's not enough Pia Zadora on RiffTrax.

Pia Zadora, Ruth Gordon AND Jermaine Jackson?!!!

Like a John Scalzi novel set to music by ABBA.

If ever there was a movie to be openly mocked, "Voyage of the Rock Aliens" is IT. Produced by Curb Records as a showcase for their artists (most of whom were dropped from the label LONG before the movie was released) with a cast that includes Jermaine Jackson (in a music video which was incoherently inserted into the film), Pia Zadora ("Santa Claus Conquers the Martians"), Craig Sheffer ("Nightbreed"), Michael Barryman ("The Hills Have Eyes") and Ruth Gordon ("Rosemary's Baby") and take-offs of everything from "Beach Party" to "Halloween," this flick is guaranteed to have any and ALL viewers scratching their heads and asking "WTF?!" Although it epitomizes the '80s in a way that makes those who remember the era squeal with delight (or sheer agony depending upon one's perspective), the movie remains largely unknown in the USA... but it was a hit in Germany, where there's a 2-disc Blu-Ray special edition.
A Rifftrax commentary would probably do for "Rock Aliens" what MST3K did for "Manos." It's THAT memorably bizarre and practically as obscure.

Sure why not?

Compared to this, "Pigs In Space" was a Ken Burns documentary.

With Ruth "Rosemary's Baby" Gordon as the crusty, cantankerous local sheriff! My hand to God!

"Starring" (if that's really the word) the one and only Pia Zadora!

Imagine those five deeply, *deeply* goofy MTV "vee-jays" from the 1980s.
Now: imagine them IN SPACE.
