  1. The Christmas Tree- Animated Christmas Abomination

1991 animated christmas movie. An all around bad movie- bad animation, bad voice characters, etc. Orphans, mean caretaker, and the Orphans best friend is a tree. YES a tree. Some how the children seem to live really close to santa claus. Its been called the Room version of Christmas Special bad.

  2. "Swingin' Six" ZIP Code Video

4 good reasons (because I'm an overachiever) to riff this short from the 1960's about using ZIP codes, found at https://youtu.be/QIChoMEQ4Cs:

1.This is an actual US government short. If you don't riff it, the terrorists win.

    2. Cavemen. Not sure what it has to do with the postal service, but cavemen. Occasionally in very short skirts (yes, still the men).

    3. To find out why not using ZIP codes will make your true love desert you.

    4. They rhyme 'question' and 'indigestion' in a song. Oh, did I mention it's a musical?

  3. The Finishing Line

This is a seriously F***ed up British PSA about children playing on railroad tracks. This kid daydreams about holding his own Olympics on a train crossing. Dozens of children get killed. It's both horrifying and surreal.

  4. Walt Disney The story of Menstruation

Walt Disney and the story of Menstruation. This is 70 years old now. Might be a good one to riff. Thanks

  5. Mickey Mouse: Seat Belt Expert

Co-produced by the infamous Coronet Films, this Disney live-action short teaches kids (and one negligent adult) the importance of wearing a seat belt. This short also makes liberal use of the following: the same Mickey Mouse costume you'd find at Disneyland; a little girl with the apparent power to absorb other people into her daydreams; a cameo by the protagonist of the classic short "Courtesy: A Good Egg-sample;" and, even some zoom-ins on our beloved mouse's crotch. This short just begs for a good riffing!

  6. Am I Normal

This is a weird film from the late 1970s about a boy who is growing up . He asks questions of any and all people about going through puberty . It is rife for riffing !!

  7. Drawing for Beginners: the Triangle

Drawing for Beginners: the Rectangle was not the only film in its series. I don't know whether the Circle and Square installments are still extent, but somebody sold a copy of the Triangle last year, so it's out there, and I think it's safe to assume it is worthy of Rifftrax.

A few stills from the film are on the eBay auction, including some sort of tree dinosaur. http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-mm-Drawing-For-Beginners-The-Triangle-400-039-/361658877539?nma=true&si=FIM%252BS%252FBNp5mlh%252BgVgo4dHv%252Bgdh0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

  9. Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers

It's 51 minute foodie documentary from 1980 (and it looks it too).

It's a love story to garlic (which as depicted wasn't really a big trend in the US back in the 1970s and earlier if you believe the talking heads).

One talking head mentions that he believes that vampires are real. Werner Herzog also makes a cameo.

Lots of dialogueless food prep providing plenty of space for riffing.

  10. How to Succeed with Brunettes

An overly tacky do's and don'ts video, produced by the Navy, mixing dates and business (no, not like prostitution). The picture quality is really good, for some reason, unlike most old shorts. There's some great riffable moments, but in general it flows well enough to keep people watching in case you guys crap out on some quality riffing..haha..j/k Take a gander.

  11. "A Touch of Magic" https://archive.org/details/TouchofM1961

"A Touch of Magic" is the MPO produced, GM financed sequel to "Design for Dreaming." Nuvena herself , Thelma "Tad" Tadlock stars in it once again, and it is just as bonkers. 1961.

  12. The American Heart Association's current BLS (Basic Life Saving) video

There are various skits with live actors about someone who becomes unresponsive and needs CPR, only when the actor or actress actually starts doing CPR, the person in need of help is switched out for a mannequin, which is suddenly wearing the person's clothes and and is in the same position the person was just in! This effect was especially creepy for the baby- CPR skit. Our entire class was laughing so hard it hurt!

  13. Let's Face It (1954 Federal Civil Defense Administration Short)

Have you ever questioned the economic validity of building an entire city just to blow it up? Have you ever wanted to test the validity of building an entire city just to blow it up?

The film that gave us the iconic stock footage of houses being blasted to smithereens and made us realize that the atomic bomb was more than just sending Indiana Jones helluva far in a refrigerator. Consider this for what would really happen to Bert the Turtle if he was in the vicinity of this force of radiation.

The three reasons why I suggest this film…

  14. Santo gold

I heard about this years ago and just remembered it. From the link below:

"Santo Gold is without a doubt the most bizarre infomercial I’ve seen. This infomercial tries to do two very different tasks at the same time: sell a gold jewelry business opportunity and promote a “science-fiction space wrestling movie” called Blood Circus. Either one of these would be laughable enough on its own, but the combination of the two is downright unnerving."

  15. Let's make a sandwich

An intensely detailed view of the preparation of tuna rarebit. While not a sandwich all, it promises to be enjoyed by the truly parsley passionate...

  16. Dangerously Close (1986)

This is not only from Cannon and not only from Albert Pyun, it's also a boring ass film with bland character with no character development who only stand around like they in a fashion model commercial. A waste of people who have or had talent before making this dullfest of a trainwreck.

  17. Pathé newsreels

There are literally decades of Pathé newsreels out there that are just *itching* for the Rifftrax treatment.

    Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xROXat5cBDc

  18. Any old 80s fast-food training video you can get the rights to

There's a lot of great cheesy 80s fast-food training videos out there, like for Wendy's and McDonald's. It's a riff goldmine.

  19. Shopping Can Be Fun (1957)

Bridget and Mary Jo have done riffs on menstruation, the suburbs, and Tupperware, so they would be perfect to riff this early tribute to the shopping mall.

It's also in the public domain.

And it can be found here:

  20. Goldilocks and the three bears in 3d

I had this nightmare of a children's movie as a kid. It is definitely a trip. I think it, along with your guy's humor, would make a great Rifftrax short. Please consider.
