  2. Dreamscape (1984)

This one is a classic Dennis Quaid film from my childhood, so bizarre, taking itself far too seriously, and paced perfectly for intercessionary comments! Please riff Dreamscape!

  3. Frances and Her Rabbit (1956)

Colorful educational film about a little girl and her bunny stuck inside on a rainy day. It is short (10 minutess) and in the public domain. There are lots of uncomfortable pauses in the narration of the English language version that are begging for riffs! Check it out:

  4. Santa's Summer House

This Hallmark Christmas "movie" features a cast of professional kick-boxers, a former Survivor contestant, and Robert Mitchum's son Christopher as an inexplicably clean-shaven Santa Claus. I missed the beginning (not that it matters, right?), but apparently Santa magically brought a van full of lost vacationers to his summer house and, in a Manos-esque show of bad judgement, they decided to stay over at some complete stranger's house. Santa's got some unfinished business with these people. For some reason, a twenty minute croquet scene is part of this business. I really think that they just forgot that the camera was on.…

  7. Megaforce (1982)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084316/

Megaforce (or MegaForce), is an action film made in 1982 directed by former stuntman Hal Needham. The film starred Barry Bostwick, Persis Khambatta, Michael Beck, Edward Mulhare, Evan C. Kim, Ralph Wilcox, and Henry Silva.

Everyone is wearing spandex jumpsuits, have wild hair, ride motorcycles and cars that look like they were rejected by Battlestar Galactica. The acting is way over the top, and the heros look like they just finished filming the "Let's Get Physical" video for Olivia Newton John.

It starts Barry Bostwick and Persis Khambatta. This is enough right there to push it to the top…

  8. Fun In Balloon Land

Creepy balloons. A narrator who alternates between not enthusiastic at all, and way TOO enthusiastic. Off-key singing. Something that vaguely resembles a plot. You guys could get a ton of mileage out of this one.

  11. The Dark

Back in the late 70s, a small, little-known film called "Alien" was released. I'm not sure how it fared at the box office. I never heard about it again. However, some sad movie executive in Hollywood MUST have heard about it, because they took a B-level zombie film called "The Dark" and immediately -- in mid-production -- changed it into a film about an alien. The resulting shift in direction is so subtle as to be almost imperceptible -- if you're Mr. Magoo.

Fast-forward to 1:24:09 to hear a bent bar make the same sound as Scooby-Doo biting down on…

  13. Day of the Animals (1977)

Day of the Animals (1977) "stars" Leslie Nielsen as a hiker that comes down with an allergy to shirts right as a forest full of coked up animals sing Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It." Only less cocaine fueled and more Solar Radiation-y fueled. Which is something science says exists.. Shirtless Nielsen walks tall and carries a big stick most the film, fights a bear shirtless, and says some things I consider racist while shirtless. There's also an environmental aspect to the film which is all the rage these days. Go Green!

  20. Deadly Prey (1988)

This movie stars David Carradine's son from Future Zone as an ex-super soldier who gets dropped into a "deadliest game" scenario that is being used to train mercenaries. He manages to kill most of them with his bare hands, including one that he beats to death with his own cut-off arm! Space Mutiny connections: Cameron Mitchell as his ex-cop father-in-law, and the same end-credits singer. Bonus: they just filmed a sequel last year ("Deadliest Prey")!
