5. The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini (1966)

   Though this was the last of the "Beach Party" type films (though this doesn't actually take place near a beach, strange), Frankie and Annette are nowhere in this flick, but Eric Von Zipper and his Malibu Rat Pack are in it.

   Boris Karloff plays a deceased Mr. Hiram Stokley who discovers he has to perform a good deed within 24 hours to get into heaven, and possibly revert back to his younger self.

   Summoning his long, dead girlfriend, Cecily, Hiram enlists her help to keep his crooked lawyer, Reginald Ripper, and his henchman from taking the estate for themselves. Reggie's played by Basil Rathbone (the evil sorcerer from 'The Magic Sword.'). Soon the true heirs show up with their beach party friends to have a pool party and stay at Hiram's house, for his will states they have to stay for 24 hours in the house, in order to collect. Despite the wackiness you'd imagine in this film, there are a lot of songs you could riff off of, and the fact it's funny what Ripper has to go through for his schemes, and how Cecily thwarts his plans.

   Bit of RiffTrivia here: Originally the film was supposed to be the third 'Dr. Goldfoot' film, but regrettably this plan had fallen through since Vincent Price was now contracted with another studio. Also as I said before, Frankie and Annette declined on being in this film for professional and personal reasons.

   But enough of this, let's commence with the three reasons:

   (1) Tommy Kirk is in this one: Yes, the one from the 'Village of the Giants' appears here in place of Frankie, not exactly a great replacement, but hey, better than Fabian I suppose.

   (2) Nancy Sinatra and several band members are in this for a pool party at a haunted house no less. Not to mention several songs come out here at a drop of a hat.

   (3) The fact there's not much haunting here as hilarity as you feel you're watching more of a live-action 'Looney Tunes' short than a movie.

6. Wild in the Streets (1968)

   From the studio who brought you Gas-s-s (American International, whose initials make me want to cry out when I see their films.. A... IIIII..), brings you this bizarre little gem which could've been the inspiration for 'Logan's Run.' Well, probably more of the Run part...

   But I digress.. Wild in the Streets tells of a strange tale about what happens when you attempt to let a rock star attempt to procure the future voters of America (because THAT'S always an INSPIRED idea, what next, electing a possum for president... oh,well..

   Hal Holbrook plays a Congressman who decides the best way for procuring the youth vote for his run for the Senate, is to get the most popular rock star, Max Frost, to encourage the America's youth to vote.

   Seems simple enough. So is 'reversing the polarity of the neutron flow.' Because even though the film does warn us about Frost, seems the Congressman doesn't check out this guy's background too well.

   Max Frost was once known as Max Flatow, who started off as a social miscreant, with a penchant for making home-made explosives. Not to mention having Shirley Winters for a mother..

   Now is it just me, but before Ms. Winters played nice with Rankin/Bass' productions as Frosty's wife, Crystal, she always played these wonderful nutjobs in these films. Just sayin'. Anyway, Frost manages to insinuate himself into the system..

   And things go downhill from there...

   First off, Frost convinces the government to lower the voting age down from 18 to 15, then (as if anyone didn't see this coming) announces his candidacy for President.

   Before anyone realizes it, Frost gets elected and the first thing he does is put anyone over 30 into concentration camps (oops, sorry, I mean 'retirement homes') where they are forced to ingest LSD and live out their lives there... oh, and the Congressman gets hung, and not in a good way...

   'Wild in the Streets' happens to be one of those films you have to see to actually believe and will make you think 'Logan's Run' was tame by comparison. But here are three good reasons why RiffTrax should do this one:

   (1) Plethora of stars: Long before Sharknado 2 started doing this, this film did it, and if you like to see Shirley Winters slapping a very young Greg Brady (Barry Williams - unaccredited, but you see him in the first of the film as a young Max), this film is for you. As well as Richard Pryor.

   (2) The film can't decide if it's a movie or a documentary.. Seriously, in the start of the film, the director decides on giving you an insight into Max Flatow right away, and his troubled childhood, and what made him become the famous Max Frost. Then at that moment afterwards, the film jumps us into the story.. think of it as a reverse of 'Night of the Living Dead,' you'll get the idea.

   (3) It's the most absurd tale of its time. For some reason, back in Sixties and Seventies, being 30 was sort of classified as being 'over the hill.' And for some reason, Hollywood loved producing films enforcing this fact. But Wild in the Streets does take it over the top with Frost chanting '15 or Die,' as his motto to get his fans to vote and get Congress to lower the voting age. Afterwards his plans go into madness, as he reveals his distrust of adults (yes, I suppose having Shirley Winters slap you will do that to you..)

8. "I am"

   "I am" is a profoundly weird short from the '70s that is theoretically supposed to be educational. From what I can tell, its subject matter is some kind of vaguely existential examination of what it means for a person to have worth. This is all for middle/high school kids mind you. Mostly it just consists of a sad kid wondering around a decaying rust belt city being belittled by his friends and family while being occasionally interrupted by some sort of rapid-fire flashbacks to random events, an action that is accompanied by stings of accordion music. It also appears to be the only surviving work by a company known as Wombat productions.

14. Paul Blart mall cop 2

    It's a crazy movie to began with. A friend of mine pointed out that the heroes daughter looks like the son Manny from the TV show modern family in drag. that made it way more enjoyable. It has Kevin James, a unbelievable plot and it's silly. A perfect win

    This 1987 sci-fi action movie stars Patrick Swayze as a sexy apocolyptic swordsman and has everything you love to riff- pithy dialogue, desert wasteland outposts, threatened castration, a kid, a dog, big hair, every bad guy ever, and tons of fist pounding, sword fighting goodness, also something about irrigation plans -I can't believe it took me 28 years to finally see this Version of Mad Max- here's the link-

    Absolutely horrible movie that is just begging for the brilliant minds at Rifftrax to make it the stellar watch it wants to be.

18. Subliminal Seduction (aka The Corporation) TV Movie (1996)

    Before Sharknado 3... before Sharknado 2... hell, even before the concept of Sharknado was once considered as a fight between Jaws and The Tazmanian Devil, Ian Zierling was in this bizarre TV-Movie which was a failed pilot that never really caught on.

    Basically the plot deals with Ian as Darrin Danver (no, seriously), who is (surprise, surprise) NOT a surfer, nor does he deal with sharks... well, okay, perhaps CORPORATE sharks, but they don't fly round in a vortex attacking people (sorry about that Bill and Kevin).

    Instead, in the wake of 90s 'evil mind-controlling corporation' films, this is a story where Darrin and his wife move out to Silicon Valley, where he obtains a new job designing software for this firm. CTC wants him to help develop a game called Radical Rat Trap, a sequel to their upcoming game Amazing Mouse Maze. Unaware that the company plans on using Amazing Mouse Maze to control the minds of others to purchase the sequel... and possibly take over the world (where'd they get this idea from, Pinky and The Brain?).

    Anyway, Darrin's wife and their pot-smoking friend figure this out when they find strange software hidden in the former employee's house, and the fact later, Ian notices some employees offing themselves without rhyme or reason, and then has an affair with the company secretary (man, don't you hate when that happens?). Thought they attempt to foil the plan, it's not without complications, and Ian has to save his wife from committing suicide, while his friend ends up getting his mind burned out.

    This would be a definite one for RiffTrax to riff because for the most part the film doesn't make a lot of sense to it, and Mike would love it for it has things people doing that no one in a normal situation (if you want to call mind-controlling people 'normal'). As I said before, this was a TV Movie which started as a failed pilot to a series, where the friend ends up not dying but acquiring psychic powers as well as Darrin, and he and his wife have to stop him. But I guess the execs thought the whole thing was a bit far-fetched and scrapped the series before it could start.

    So overall, here's why RiffTrax should take a stab at this one:

    1) Ian Zierling - Well, DUH, the man's in those Sharknado flicks, why wouldn't you want to riff this film with him in it?

    2) The eerie coincidences which occur in this film: the fact that his wife happens to deal with psychology and the mind, and discovers something up when one of her subjects turns out to be one of the corporation's mind-control victims. Then the fact the former employee hides the incriminating software in the house Darrin and his wife move into and discover it not just through Amazing Mouse Maze, but an S & M simulation game his wife discovers, while Darrin appears to be more clueless than Darrin Stephens... both of them..

    3) Andrew Stevens - Basically known for several action and drama films, he plays the heavy as much as Robby Benson did in 'City Limits,' which is funny, because you don't see much of him in this flick except to see him wear ominous shades and give out obscure orders for the most part. Seriously, the henchmen here do more activity than the main villain itself.

    Overall this would be a cool film for RiffTrax to do either VOD, or perhaps as a future Kickstarter Live selection as an unofficial Ian Zierling 'prequel' to the Sharknado trilogy.
