The film takes itself seriously, even during some of the most ludicrous scenes. There are also nods to various themes and ideas that are never fully developed or explained.
For example, the brother is killed while he's taking a shower. How did the demon trick him? By pretending to be his sister (Cameron's mom) and that said sister wanted to play "Redneck Relatives", if you get my drift. Then there's this whole thing about seagulls. Which may just be a symbol of a hypnotic trick but may not be, as there's this cop that sees the same seagulls? And they may have been seagulls together in a past life?
You'd think that this would have been better done, given that the film adapted a book by the guy who wrote The Howling. It's still a guilty pleasure watch, so I think that this will hit that sweet riffing spot for many since it's entertaining on its own and riffs will only enhance it.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis would be glorious. It'd be OK for Mary Jo and Bridget, but this would total MAGIC (pun intended) as a Rifftrax Live performance.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThe Mio my Mio movie! I remember watching this as a kid and thinking that at the end, the kid didn't look as happy as you'd expect a child to be, once they discovered that they're the son of a king.
I remember it by that name because that freaking song chorus got stuck in my head.

Did we also mention that this stars the actress from the AHA Take On Me video? And Adam Ant?
