  1. The Flying Serpent (1946)

From the same great minds that brought you 'Mad Monster,' 'I Accuse My Parents' and 'Lost Continent' comes... basically a complete rehash of the far more popular 1940 Bela Lugosi film 'Devil Bat,' minus the star power of Bela Lugosi.

It’s got all the hallmarks of classic MST3K fodder, in that it’s dull, grey, and features lots of dramatic “action” sequences of middle-aged white guys driving well below the speed limit or shuffling slowly away from a hideous flapping monster that looks remarkably like a soiled dish rag that somebody taped Johnny Depp’s hat to.

    It’s also in the public…

  2. Phantom from Space (1953) (Colorized Legend Pictures version)

This movie is in the public domain, and you can find a copy on Archive.org (https://archive.org/details/PHANTOMFROMSPACEVideoQualityUpgrade) but Legend have released a very nice cleaned-up colorized print (you can see the trailer here: https://youtu.be/Fngo-VccDZo), so there's absolutely no reason not to riff that version if you can get it.

This movie is the work of W. Lee Wilder, who also brought us the Peter Graves classic 'Killers From Space' and involves an "invisible" alien who crashes his spaceship on Earth and then spends most of the movie wandering around naked in Griffith Observatory floating items around on strings.…

  3. Inception I dare you. I

I dare you to riff it. I triple dog dare you. It's a convoluted meta movie that I think would be very difficult to riff, but if anyone could do it, it'd be you guys.

  4. They Indian In The Cupboard

Native American stereotypes, exploiting a gullible child, and breaking his heart! How much more can we ask from a film? The tearfully ending has pure riff written all over it!

  6. The Nesting (1981)

A writer suffering from agoraphobia rents an isolated house so she can concentrate on her writing. She doesn't know that the house is a former brothel, and is inhabited by the ghosts of dead prostitutes.

  7. The Devil's Hand

3 good reasons to Riff this really not good movie:
    1. Hawkeye Pierce's Dad!
    2. Commissioner Gordon!
    And 3. Satanic Cult!
    What's not to love?
Well, the actual movie, but that really doesn't matter.

  8. The Craft: Legacy

It's a sequel.. or is it a a reboot? I'm still not sure. I love the 1996 original, so I was excited to see a reimagining of it for 2020. The few moments of saving grace did not make up for the horrible storyline and editing. Please, Bridget and Mary Jo. Give this turkey a reason for being in my life. It has scarred me.

  9. Die Hard - Three Riffer version

It's debatable whether it's a holiday movie or not. I like Mattew Elliott but I can't understand his accent as well on his riffs. This is a classic. I would love an mp3 of the guys riffing it.

  13. Roadie

Meat Loaf, Art Carney and Don Cornelius (and a few bands from the era too) are in the 1980's film:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadie(1980film)
with the Driving My Life Away by Eddie Rabbit too.

  14. Even cowgirls get the blues

Uma thurman plays Sissy. A hitchhiker with giant thumbs. There's an all female run ranch, an eccentric weirdo in a wheelchair (who sissy knocks out with her thumb...) Feeding cranes peyote, and a standoff with the government. The book by Tom Robbins is a fantastic read;I highly recommend the book... The movie is ludacris and bad.
Reasons to riff it: The acting isn't there.
So much was cut from the story that the movie doesn't make sense.
The costumes and special effects are really strange.

  15. Avengers: End Game

Why riff Avengers: End Game? For the same reasons other box office smashes like Avatar, The Avengers, The Dark Knight, and every Star Wars movie ever made were riffed: because they got it coming to them.

  16. Mr. Delicious ad campaign/Rax Roast Beef corporate video

Thanks to Dave Riches Rifftrax Facebook post of the VlogBrothers video essay on the Rax Roast Beef fast-food chain failed ad campaign? This could easily use proper riffing.

  18. Allie & Obie

This is the perfect movie for Rifftrax - the acting is only marginally better than Rollergator. Like that movie, the cast is made up of a bunch of unknowns and one who has done some Hollywood (Byron Baudo) stuff. A young girl has a telepathic talking dog who helps her with her homework and "saves the day." (I guess) - I was actually thinking this WAS a Rifftrax movie and there was just no dialogue track. It seems to be the only project done by this team and looks like a student film at best. So I'm not sure how…

  20. The Astounding She Monster (1957)

My favorite MST3K riffing episodes, were the ones involving old black & white horror and science fiction movies from the 1950's and 1960's. The worse the movie was, the better the fun factor. You knew that whatever the movie director's were envisioning, it wasn't anything like what you were seeing on the screen.
The Astounding She Monster starts out with sub-standard special effects, and begins with narration that is like an omnipotent being watching and judging the drama as it unfolds and giving you some useless information to set up the story, that really doesn't add much to the drama…
