  1. Taken

Mike, Bill, and Kevin have a particular set of skills...and use them to riff this turkey (I hope)!

  2. Skyline

It's a train-wreck-you-can't-believe-what-you're-seeing type of movie. We laughed at a number of things during the movie and enjoyed it's stupidness throughout.

  3. The Water Babies

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078477/

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid and, so help me, I cannot figure out why. For some reason, while running from a false charge, a boy falls into a lake and forms a ragtag band of misfits including a Scottish lobster, French swordfish, and gay seahorse. How all of these things found their way into a small English lake is anyone's guess, but they free a race of enslaved underwater children with the help of the kraken, who for some reason is played by King Neptune instead of the giant ravaging monster it's supposed to…

  4. Death Wish 3 and 5

This is my last vote so I'm going with most of the Death Wish franchise. Special attention to Death Wish's 3 and 5. 3 has a post apocalyptic vision for NYC. Bronson's Kersey character is aided by Martin Balsam as an army vet and some guy who manages to kill dozens of people with a pipe gun. The shot out scenes are hilarious in their own right. Way over the top.

Death Wish IV is drug dealers and low budget starring Key Lenz from Prisoner of the Lost World fame, but Death Wish V features Kersey going against the mob…

  5. Ravenous

Imagine the silliest idea for a horror movie involving cannibalism AND a complete lack following any historical reference and you have RAVENOUS, this movie makes you laugh out loud, even though it is intended as a serious scary film

  6. Airborne

California surfer teen lives with his aunt, uncle, and cousin (Seth Green) in Ohio. Lots of cheesy dialogue in this early 90s film.

  7. Corvette Summer

Features Luke Skywalker at the height of his career as an unlikely (and whiney) gear head trying to recover his stolen hotrod. Lots of riffing potential here.

  8. The Old Dark House (1932)

A classic old horror film made by James Whale so the comedy's built right in. Not nearly appreciated enough so it might get some new fans with a great riff.

  9. Quest For Camelot

One of the worst animated films ever made features mutant weaponry creatures, a blind forest hermit, and the vocal talents of Celine Dion. Thanks, Ted Turner!

  12. The Boy and the Pirates

Today Bert I. Gordon died at the age of 100, RIP.
Here is a film I found by him that makes a great riff. A 1960 adventure film with his daughter who you should recognize from Tormented as well as an episode of The Twilight Zone along with former child star Charles Herbert.

  13. Around the World Under the Sea

A 1966 underwater sci fi adventure film with Lloyd Bridges. He leads a submarine crew in it. It's not terrible, but it's not great. It make a good one to riff!

  14. Alita: Battle Angel

One weird film by Robert Rodriguez. Produced by James Cameron from 2019. A post apocalyptic film about a cyborg warrior girl starring Christoph Waltz. Full of very riffable moments!

  16. Death Race (2008)

A remake of Roger Corman's Death Race 2000, but it's actually close to being Twisted Metal the Movie... minus Calypso and Sweet Tooth. David Carradine stars in both Death Race 2000 and this remake, but he's a brief cameo via voice over at the beginning.

Robin Shou also stars in it, but as a side character known as 14K. Mortal Kombat jokes are allowed, Riffers.

  17. The Mole People

In the tradition of such films as Plan 9 From Outer Space and Reefer Madness, this film starts with an introduction. In this case we get a lecture about hollow Earth theory. You can actually see the point where the lecturer becomes self conscious about his hands. From the multiple times he indicates the roundness of the Earth to the two seconds he puts his hands on his lapel he is a ballet of fidgety.
Then the movie starts which, it turns out, has absolutely nothing to do with a hollow Earth. Instead it's about a civilization that has grown…

  18. Car Crash (1981)

a 1981 Italian-Spanish-Mexican action film directed by Antonio Margheriti starring Joey Travolta. The movie can't make up its mind whether it is Italian or Mexican and features Polish mafia leader Eli Wrosnky. A failed attempt at a plot and loaded with bad acting. And it stars a Firebird, one of the most beloved cars in 1980s films and TV shows. What more can I say. Highly recommended.

  19. Ground Control (1999)

Kiefer Sutherland, Henry Winkler, Bruce McGill, and Robert Sean Leonard must help land planes during a snowstorm. Seems difficult, considering this movie appears to be filmed in a black box theater.

  20. Beyond the Reef 1981

A charming movie played frequently on HBO in the early 80s. Hawaiian boy has a pet shark that is reincarnate of his grandfather. It is dubbed and scenes are short with lots of opportunity to riff and movie is very watchable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8saISz5fRK0
