  2. Holly & Hal Moose: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure (2008)

A Christmas movie made by the Build-A-Bear Workshop? How bad could it be?

-The arbitrary skepticism regarding Hal's desire to fly with Santa's reindeer. Santa Claus is clearly shown to exist in this movie, complete with flying reindeer! Why are flying moose more ridiculous than flying reindeer?!

-The major conflict.focuses on a severe snowstorm which threatens to ground Santa's sleigh. Despite the hyperbole from the weather elves that this is the worst storm they've ever seen, not only is the moon still visible, but the storm is shown to be centered entirely around Santa's workshop. They can just walk for…

  3. A Christmas Carol- 2016 Anthony DP Mann Directed

This musical version of A Christmas Carol stars Doctor Who's Colin Baker... and no one else. It has a budget of about $4, features a mid-'40s Scrooge singing a song to a picture of Marley with creepily ****** undertones, and has actors who couldn't make the cut in Hallmark movies. I have watched almost every version of A Christmas Carol I could find. I couldn't finish this thing.

  5. madame sin

Mary Jo and Bridget could riff this very '70's spy/crime thing. At the end, the protagonist (apparently) dies, and the villain (Bette Davis) gets away!

  7. The Christmas Chronicles

This isn’t available on NETFLIX until November 22nd, but we’ve gotta get started immediately: The Christmas Chronicles! It is a Netflix original featuring Kurt Russell as SANTA! Snake Plissken, people! This is gonna be gold! The story is a brother & sister plan to catch St MacReady in the act and become involved with Santa (not like that). Like Christmas Hobbits they go on an adventure at the bequest of some old bearded guy! Can’t miss! If I know old Kris Kringle he’s gonna need those kids to help him out of a jam... or possibly outta a bottle of…

  17. With This Ring (1954): There's a bit of god in every Miller High Life?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3bblcaYtQo

This short is part-advertisement for Miller High Life, part historic-melodrama cut down for time.

The ring in question is some sort of magic ring that seems to give the Miller family a +5 in INT, WIS, and brewing. It only appears at the start and end.

The movie itself is mostly made up of dramatic speeches or set-ups for dramatic speeches. Like Fred Miller threatening a guy with a hammer. Fred Miller's daughter explaining that she'll keep running the company until a man can take over. Or Fred III saying God is present in the fermenting process.

    There are…

  18. Mary Lewis, Student Nurse (1961)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RXCxZXhZnU

An educational short from the UK where Mary Lewis is "jolly glad" to learn how to be a nurse. Hats are folded, biscuits and tea are consumed, a dance is attended. Blink and you'll miss the short scenes where patients get helped.

  20. ...Second Chances

The story of a doughy, forlorn sports writer who turns to alcohol and women to fill the voids in his life until the death of a friend forces him to face his own mortality and the possibility that he could lose everything. Shot on location in a local bar and the director's mom's house, this movie is reminiscent of "Terror at Tenkiller" and anything directed by James Nguyen, complete with bad Southern accents, awkward "love" scenes, and a wardrobe selected from the top rack at Goodwill.
