  1. Wavelength (1983)

    This sci fi movie with telepathic child-like aliens (sans clothes) starring Robert Carradine and Cherie Currie entranced me and my brother as kids during its many replays on HBO. I recently rediscovered it and think it would be perfect Rifftrax fodder because:

    1: Co-stars Keenan Wynn as an actual grizzled prospector

    2: Intersperses extended dialog-free scenes, sometimes in poorly lit places, with dull military discussions in an underground base/lab that looks suspiciously like an industrial plant

    3: Soundtrack by Tangerine Dream

    4 (bonus): Fun boom mike appearances

  2. Phantom from Space (1953) (Colorized Legend Pictures version)

    This movie is in the public domain, and you can find a copy on Archive.org (https://archive.org/details/PHANTOMFROMSPACEVideoQualityUpgrade) but Legend have released a very nice cleaned-up colorized print (you can see the trailer here: https://youtu.be/Fngo-VccDZo), so there's absolutely no reason not to riff that version if you can get it.

    This movie is the work of W. Lee Wilder, who also brought us the Peter Graves classic 'Killers From Space' and involves an "invisible" alien who crashes his spaceship on Earth and then spends most of the movie wandering around naked in Griffith Observatory floating items around on strings.…

  4. Hollow Point (1996)

    Cast: John Lithgow, Donald Sutherland, Tia Carrere, all lead by the Star, that dude from The X-Files.
    This movie is that wonderful kind of bad, just good enough that you don't feel like you have to turn it off, so you can sit through the whole 13 year old's fever dream of a movie. The movie has a the swagger of a Tarentino film's fan club member's first script. And yet somehow it's got money to burn, Cars destroyed, rooms destroyed, buildings destroyed, and John Lithgow and Donald Sutherland's credibility destroyed, in a 90 minute long drug fueled gunfight.

  5. The melonheads

    The Melonheads is a horrible piece of ****. It’s a 53 minute short film on YouTube that drew inspiration from the Beast of Yucca Flats, seemingly un-ironically. Somehow, it had a small following and was even featured on cracked.com when that was still a thing.

  8. Madhouse (1981)

    Julia, a teacher in a school for the deaf, has a hideously deformed and deranged twin sister that resides in the local looney bin. She escapes to gate-crash a surprise birthday party for Julia. I just watched this and its begging for a riff!

  10. The Cascadia Treasure

    The Cascadia Treasure:
    The family and I ran into this movie while looking for a good family movie. Well... it was good... BAD good. The kids and wife kept laughing at the bad cinematography, weak story, mistakes, and bad acting. This movie deserves a Rifftrax treatment!

  14. action max

    The Action Max is a home video game console using VHS tapes for games. It was manufactured in 1987 by Worlds of Wonder. The system had a very limited release outside the U.S.

    Five VHS cassettes were released for the system:

    .38 Ambush Alley, a police target range;
    Blue Thunder, based on the eponymous 1983 motion picture;
    Hydrosub: 2021, a futuristic underwater voyage;
    The Rescue of Pops Ghostly, a comic haunted-house adventure;
    Sonic Fury, aerial combat, bundled with the system.
    A planned sixth cassette, Fright Night (possibly based on the 1985 horror film of the same name), was unreleased at…

    Nonsensical supernatural "horror". Convicted killer comes back from the dead to get revenge on cop and football player who stopped a murderous robbery that ended with him getting executed. Part ghost rider, The crow, Freddie Kruger powered villain with bad quips, and even worse heroes.

  18. Frightmare (1983)

    There are two Frightmare movies, but this one is the more riff worthy as a bunch of young adults steal the body of a famed horror actor and he comes back to life for revenge! He is also doing a pretty bad Vincent Price/Christopher Lee combo impersonation...
