Hollow Point (1996)
Cast: John Lithgow, Donald Sutherland, Tia Carrere, all lead by the Star, that dude from The X-Files.
This movie is that wonderful kind of bad, just good enough that you don't feel like you have to turn it off, so you can sit through the whole 13 year old's fever dream of a movie. The movie has a the swagger of a Tarentino film's fan club member's first script. And yet somehow it's got money to burn, Cars destroyed, rooms destroyed, buildings destroyed, and John Lithgow and Donald Sutherland's credibility destroyed, in a 90 minute long drug fueled gunfight.

Donald Sutherland is a chaotic neutral assassin
John Lithgow is a human scowl
Thomas Ian Griffith is that guy from the X-Files
and Tia Carrere is understandably upsetHollow Point is an adorably bad movie. It's like, if three highschool boys stole adult bodies, then hired the hottest girl they could think of, in order to make a movie. It's full of "brave acting choices". It's funny, action packed, and yet somehow boring. Every shot has at least two seconds of establishing silence, and every actor is dragging out each line like it's the only one they have. It really is a fun movie, and it has some money behind it's big explosions and stunts, but it's just too silly to be taken seriously. It was a direct to HBO movie, and the last release was on vhs in 2004, and the the full movie has been up on youtube for two years without getting claimed, so it might be available for VOD rights.
