King of the Zombies (1941)
During World War 2, a small plane off the south coast of America is low on fuel and blown off course by a storm. Guided by a faint radio signal, they crashland on an island. The passenger, his manservant and the pilot take refuge in a mansion owned by a doctor. The easily-spooked manservant soon becomes convinced the mansion is haunted by zombies and ghosts. Exploring, the 3 find a voodoo ritual in the cellar, where the doctor is trying to acquire war intelligence by transferring personalities into his zombies. But the interruption causes the zombies to turn on their…

The Ghost and the Guest (1943)
A newlywed couple winds up spending their honeymoon night in an old, dark, spooky mansion.
These old dark house mystery movies that run about on hour, are just plain silly fun. A good riffing could only add to this.24 votes -
The Black Raven (1943)
A group of strangers are brought together in an old, dark house and must contend with two murders and $50,000 in stolen money.
This is not the Roger Corman movie. You have character actor George Zucco, who always looks sinister, and future Frankenstein Glenn Strange in this mystery whodunit. Add 3 riffers to the mix, and that makes for a very entertaining evening.24 votes -
Thought for Food
A 1930's ish? 40's? Kroger documentary on how they ensure quality. The link above appears to not be complete, but if you like laboratory drones measuring peach juice, after a morning family squabble, it's for you.

Brain of Blood (1971)
In the early 70's, a knock-off, or something similar was created by Al Adamson (Dracula vs. Frankenstein) and Sam Sherman. Brain Of Blood is considered the black sheep of the Philippine gore series, mainly because Eddie Romero didn't direct, and, well, it was filmed in California, so it's an unofficial addition to the series. But whatever. Close enough. For something so shclocky and inept, we're working with a pretty decent premise, here. About the ruler of a fictional Middle Eastern country (Kaleed), who has recently discovered he is dying of a terminal disease. Amir fears for the future well-being of…

Girl Gang 1954
OMG, this public domain movie is hysterical on its own. Timothy Farrell is a drug pusher giving 'marijuanas' and 'joy shots' (Heroin) to ignorant, bad acting teens from the 1950s.
Whenever anyone gets high, harp music plays in the background. Also, the girls are initiated by making love to 5 boys. This causes one girl to force a reluctant stoner into the sex closet so she can join the club. Timothy Farrell narrated Glen or Glenda and starred in Racket Girls, The Violent Years and Jail Bait.. The movie also has Harry Keaton (Brother of Buster Keaton) who played the…24 votes -
Maxim Xul (1991)
Despite Adam West playing a professor, based on the production quality, it literally looks like he walked right off the set of ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE!
Filled with failed attempt at scares, a plot twist you didn't know (because there wasn't enough clues nor care in the world to lead you there), bizarre demon like special effects and a cool moody score that always plays at the wrong time and place when you actually need it a few scenes prior.

The Seven magnificent gladiators (1983)
Lou Ferigno as a warrior who rescues Roman women from a demigod who annually kills off the menfolk.
Oh yes this is prime for the riffing.

Terminal Justice
Starring Lorenzo Lamas as the discount John Travolta, this 1996 movie is amazing in that it predicted the Playstation VR and virtual reality video games, Drone strikes, Bitcoin or cryptocurrency (except on a credit card type object), and voice-activated ambient computers like Siri and the Amazon Echo, while still being a movie almost entirely based on 90s action cliches.
If you like cliched dialogue like "Move move move!" and "Book 'em", partners dying when they're apparently only a short time from retirement, incomprehensible technology that would never work in the real world, and a mad scientist creating sex clones for…

The Shadow of the Cat (1961)
A Hammer horror film in all but name, made under the name "BHP Productions" for legal reasons. When a tabby cat witnesses her wealthy mistress murdered by her husband and servants. her thoughts turn to murder. It's actually not that bad, but the premise of a vengeful, murderous tabby cat is one that should inspire some funny commentary.
