2. Hands of Steel/Arms of Steel (1986)

   80's cyborg/cyperpunk movie. One of those movies where they speak English, but a large part of the actors are Italian.

   I remember this movie well from my childhood. It was one of the very first movies we had on VHS at home. Must have seen it several times every week during my childhood. I think it could be a good title for the Rifftrax library.

4. Not another sci-fi movie

   Not Another Sci-Fi Movie... It's one of the worst movies I've ever-ever seen (and I've seen The Quest) and it seems the casting director lost of their entire budget betting on the length George Clooney's marriage. They were then forced to hire actors from the local community theatre. Just know how ever bad I made it sound, it's much worse.

6. Midnight Madness (1980)

   Though this was already suggested, apparently the person didn't provide anything about this flick, making you wonder why it doesn't get any votes, nor RiffTrax's attention.. so let this Fangarian show you how it's done.

   Okay, Midnight Madness was Disney's attempt to 'revive' the teenesque, Dexter Riley flicks.. you know, 'The Strongest Man in the World,' 'Now You See It, Now You Don't,' you get the picture.

   Before he was famous in 'American Werewolf in London,' David Naughton was in this comedy film about a bunch of college teens caught up in a bizarre scavenger hunt headed by a genius called Leon, which he calls The Great All-Nighter.

   In it a bunch of teams made of different groups must search for clues to the next location and report back to Leon (kind of reminds me of a live action version of DePatie-Freleng's 'Bailey's Comets.). David Naughton belongs to the Yellow Team, while Stephen Furst belongs to the conniving Blue Team.

   Taking a page from 'The Great Race,' the film's plot heavily relies on the Yellow vs. the Blue Team, while all the remaining colored teams are more of a subplot.

   Also a pre-Family Ties Michael J. Fox stars as David Naughton's little brother, who attempts to help out.

   What made this movie interesting was the fact before Disney had come out with Touchstone Pictures for PG and R rated films, this film actually earned a PG rating. Another fact was when the movie did come out, this was like Disney's version of 'The Star Wars Holiday Special,' because the company's name is not affixed to this movie, despite the fact in a later video release, it was.

   One reason I believe it should be given the RiffTrax treatment is the fact the movie comes off being a major disaster in plot than a genuine film. The real comedy comes from the fact one has to suspend major disbelief on how the Blue Team keeps self-sabotaging themselves while trying to cheat, every time I would see this, I couldn't help but envision some Muttley character in the background snickering. The subplots don't really move the plot along except to serve as a break from the whole Yellow vs. Blue tirade that goes along.

   Overall if RiffTrax is able to do it (as I said, this was technically a 'Disney' flick, but it's probably public domain by now), this is one they should do just for the absurdity of it.

7. It! Came From Outer Space (c 1980)

   You guys at RiffTrax know, nothing can make a REALLY bad film than horrible remakes, reboots, or horrible movies having the audacity to 'borrow' a title from a classic B-Movie.

   In the 1980s, cheesy studios had really warped ideas on how sci-fi should be, either inexplicable gorefests, or have strange aliens attacking, then you have this film.

   The poster for this shlock was indeed misleading: shows a typical ravaged female victim running from some odd jellyfish, tentacled, fanged creatures pursuing her.

   However, the trailer proves the film is so bad, it makes Alien Outlaw and The Dark Power appear as Academy Award material.

   Apparently a refugee alien from the Cantina Band from Star Wars mysteriously hovers over Earth in some kind of dimension (the scene never really clarifies if he's in a ship or not.). Now rather than invade our planet, in typical alien fashion, he hurls these frisbee like beings down toward the planet.

   The sound effect here makes it seem as if Sid & Marty Krofft produced this rather than having it being a sci-fi flick. Though I never saw this film, from the trailer these frisbee creatures mysteriously transform into carnivorous beasts that feed on humans (sure, why not).

   Except the film goes with the standard cliche of the creatures preying on humans in the dank woods. Which was the setting for ALL alien films back in the 80s, I mean, you never saw an alien attack on a populated city, until 'Independence Day' had come out.

   Anyway, the reason why I want RiffTrax to riff this gem is because the film became 'The Star Wars Holiday Special,' of the big screen. Mainly because after it was shown in box offices, the film was actually pulled, but not due to poor sales, or its questionable content.

   Rumors claim that when Universal Pictures had gotten wind of this B-Movie, they had threatened to sue the studio for copyright infringement. And if that wasn't bad enough, many B-Movie films which used the 'Cantina Band' alien archtypes for their productions were suddenly getting flack by George Lucas.

   In fact the film was so bad, imdb doesn't even have a listing for it. If you guys could locate this version and riff it, you're definitely a better man than I am.

8. Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla (1994)

   In what is essentially the 'Batman and Robin' of the Godzilla franchise, an extraterrestrial clone of Godzilla emerges from a black hole (or something) to conquer Earth as G-Force attempts to mind-control Godzilla. Oh, there's also a penguin-like transforming mech, a chibi Godzilla, and Japanese mafia.

11. I, Monster (3D Christoper Lee horror movie... minus the 3D)

    I, Monster was not a highlight of the late, great, Christopher Lee's career. The movie was a well-meaning attempt by Amicus to cash in on the popularity of Hammer horror films by hiring most of the same cast and crew (Peter Cushing is in this one as well), and then as a special gimmick, shooting the entire film in 3D.

    Unfortunately for them, nothing went as planned... Apparently, the rights to Jekyll and Hyde were still owned by another film company, so they had to call the character "Marlowe" and "Blake" instead, and use makeup effects that could in no way be mistaken for those used by Universal or Hammer, so Lee's monster transformation consisted entirely of giving him a unibrow, buck teeth, and a terrible wig. And to add insult to injury, the production team ran out of money for the 3D process partway through the movie, so it's got all sorts of weird gimmick shots... minus the gimmicks. (Lee loves to throw stuff and wave items in front of the camera for no logical reason, and the climactic final fight scene is quite literally obscured by a brick wall)

    All in all, a perfect movie for riffing, especially given the popularity of the two Amicus Doctor Who films, made by the same producer.

13. Rottweiller... The Dogs of Hell (1982).

    He had a studio in the small NC town I work in. Plus he shot a movie in the building where our offices are. And inside one of the drawing cabinets I found several of his movie posters from way back.

    My boss knew of him. Most people around here did. Plus he used a lot of local "talent" to put into his movies. So the acting may be a tad questionable.

    I remember going to the movies as a 12 year old and seeing this gem. Got a big container of popcorn, a depth charge size cola, the goofy 3D glasses .... and within 20 minutes of the movie, I almost fell asleep.

    I watched some of it recently online. Ooooh is fraught with goofiness, bad acting, and contrived camera shots for 3D effects.

18. Shogun Assassin

    The first movie I remember ever seeing and greatest samurai film ever. Banned for 20 years due to its violence it is actually 2 films reedited and dubbed into masterpiece of death and revenge of a father and son roaming the land killing ninjas with a baby carriage that makes batman jealous. The voice acting and music is so distinct that it's used for an entire album from the jizza of wu tang fame. Everyone's blood pressure is so high that when cut the artiriel spray shoots out like a firehouse of gore painting the historic Japanese architecture.
