video game promo videos
back in the 90s and early 2000s, many new video games would get previewed with footage on a video tape most especially nintendo 64 since they refused to make a bunch of demo carts even if they did with pokemon stadium, mario party 3, the legend of zelda majora's mask, donkey kong 64 and jet force gemini. there's also playstation one promo videos made as well and of course sega. if you must riff sega vhs', dvds, laserdiscs and betamax's do the promo videos only. that means no anime or tv shows or movies based on the sega games. there's…

Playstation Underground Demo Discs
In 1997, sony computer entertainment america launched a cd based magazine that doesn't make you read but makes you play called the playstation underground. the psone versions always spanned 2 discs which were great for playable demos, trailers, imports, behind the scenes featurettes, exclusive first class looks on upcoming games, cheat codes, bulletins, demonstrations on first party accessories, downloading save files, walkthroughs on best winning the game, special events and easter eggs. the ps2 version was just one dvd. it all ended in 2001 when they've decided to merge with the official us playstation magazine just as they've transitioned to…

Mrs. T. and her Cabbage Patch (BBC, 1941)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9xLQBUi6Ic
I think the official BFI YouTube description of it sells it better than I could:
Poetic tribute to Mrs Turner's vegetable growing prowess, plus the delights of "wartime steaks".Also: Mrs. T. I pity the fool who wouldn't consider riffing this!

Tea Making Tips (BBC, 1941)
You can give it a watch on the official BFI YouTube channel here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnvYymrCn4g&t=16sI just feel you guys tend to do fantastic jobs riffing on instructional videos in general, and one as genteel and specific as this could result in some absolute laugh out loud moments!

Get High On Yourself
why it should be chosen:
1. Robert Evans on probation for cocaine use, what does he do? Why an anti-drug special!
2. Where else can you find Leif Garrett, Carol Burnett, Bob Hope, and Paul Newman?
3. The children touching Fonzie's hair.15 votes -

The Pleasure Seekers
This Spanish take on Three Coins in a Fountain is awesome. Ann-Margret shimmies, headshakes, and laughingly cries thru her mascara in this one.

Superman The Artic giant
I think Superman the Artic giant would make for a fun riff as first it's been a while since an animated short has been riffed, secondly the premise of the short is really dumb, and finally the dinosaur looks like a Japanese Daikaiju years before they created any.

Music Videos
ok, hear me out here. Do you guys remember popup videos? they were amazing, and when music television stations started producing **** reality tv, all of the good stuff died. Anyway, I think it would be amazing if you did a sort of "pop-up" style video, but just riff'd it instead. have some popup "facts" and do what you do best, and tear it a new one. I think this would be an amazing place to start.
