An error occurred while saving the comment Contact is an interesting one to request. I loved this when it was new and thought it sacred and above riffing at the time. BUT. There is a lot of dead air that could be filled, and Matthew McConaghy as a religious nut domestic terrorist, and the video message from the wealthy benefactor and the Vega aliens appearing godlike as a memory of Ellie's dad. It's at least worth a nostalgia screening.
