Fist of the North Star
Fist of the North Star is a 1986 anime film dubbed for American audiences, and as dubbing anime into English was relatively new (and the film itself is comically absurd & Verhoeven-esque in its violence) the "so bad it's good" vibe is STRONG with this one. If ever an anime deserved to be riffed, this one is it.

Bug (2006)
Please don't give this a pass simply because it's director is legendary William Friedkin of The Exorcist (1973) and The French Connection (1971).
This insane pile of puke, blood, crap, and tin-foilery stars Oscar nominated actor, Michael Shannon and Golden Globe nominated, Ashley Judd.
This alleged thriller about mental illness is pretentious and cancerously earnest. The acting and the dialogue is stiff and painfully funny (but unintentionally so).
The characters would make real life conspiracy theorists step back and ask the filmmakers if they're okay and need any social work help as the story involves dangerous delusions, collective psychosis, and…

The Meateater (1979)
I've seen some stinkers in my day, but this one takes the hotdog.
Shoe salesman Mitford Webster, unhappy with his mediocre life decides to buy an abandoned movie theater (it's what he's always wanted) and moves his family to the small community where the theater is located, the realtor Mr. Knuckle informs him the former theater owner only showed.....PORNOGRAPHY!....Pornography?
His wife Jan Webster wasn't too keen on the idea from the start, there was some security in being a shoe salesman, his two brats, Ricky Webster the albino skateboarder, and daughter Jeannie Webster who looks a bit like classic film…20 votes -
Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw (1976)
Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw stars Lynda Carter made famous by "Wonder Woman" and Marjoe Gortner, the former child evangelist who starred in in the 1972 documentary "Marjoe". I think there is a scene in the beginning of the movie where someone is topless; I cannot remember if it is Marjoe or Lynda, but let's hope for the polyester & discoballs, it's Marjoe Gortner! This movie has no plot but Lynda does sing (which is how she won her beauty queen title leading to this movie & Wonder Woman).

Mulligan Stew (Educational Series)
Mulligan Stew was a children's educational program, sponsored by the 4-H Council and shown both in schools and on television featured a multi-racial group of kids who make up the rock bank Mulligan Stew. The group promoted good nutrition using groovy slang and music that may have been hip in 1967 but wasn't in 1972...
...and was completely out of style when our school inflicted the episodes on my fifth grade class in 1986...
Along for the ride is their painfully unfunny adult comic relief Wilbur Dooright. Who I'm actually not sure is supposed to be the kids manager. A…

Travel Awareness
This short, "instructional" video from the Office of the Directory of National Intelligence is both laughably bad and features long pauses in the dialog (presumable to allow for audience laughter). It's begging to be riffed.

House (1977)
Hasu (House - 1977) a seminal cinematic work with strong arthouse appeal that nevertheless cannot be described as good. The Japanese surrealist work features a number of girls with names like Kung-Fu and Gorgeous who visit an ailing aunt and are summarily eaten to feed a dark power. It is inventive and ABSOLUTELY wacky at times, and in my opinion, rife with riffin' material.
It's on Hulu right now for free, part of Criterion Collection. Lots of "class"...

Journey To The Center Of Time
Just saw this on Amazon for the first time in 20 years... Now that I know you guys this would be an awesome riff... Plus it's in theme with Time Chasers...
1) it's got Lyle Wagonner as a future alien, another woman with the name of Poupee Garmin...
2) the movie almost exactly repeats itself... I still don't know why... It's just to be with the complexities of time travel... You know, all that timey-whimey stuff... And... [ WARNING!!! SPOILERS!!! ]
3) the end has the guy and the girl alone... He has the last line... "... and start a…

Santa in Animal Land (1948)
This short has all of the ingredients: bad puppeteering, corny dialogue and just overall cheesiness (although the puppets are kinda cute). This is more than worthy of a riff!

Starship Apocalypse
- Seems to have been shot entirely in one greenscreened room
- Almost all the asskicking of a 70s action drama
- The acting is even more plastic than the faces and boobs
- Shatneresque... line... delivery
- Space lingo cliches. Everywhere.
