  1. Maximum Ride

This is a movie based on a Young Adult novel - as if there aren't enough of those.
    The plot is flimsy,
    The acting is poor,
The CGI is so bad, you won't believe it came out in 2016.

  3. Felix the Cat: The Movie (1991)

The beloved vintage cartoon star made an attempt to get back into the spotlight in 1991, and failed harder than New Coke. The animation is sloppy and dated, the dubbing is amateurish, and the plot makes no sense, but what really makes this movie riff-worthy is the visuals. So much of this movie is filled with ugly, bleak, gloomy visuals that look more at home in Labyrinth or The Wall than a movie about Felix the Cat. These qualities were considerable drawbacks when this movie was in theaters alongside Beauty and the Beast, but for Rifftrax, they're a positive boon.…

  4. Strange Magic

It's strange alright. It's animated Lucasfilm, features annoying singing, and I would have turned it off if I wasn't in the company of people who enjoyed it.

  7. Mission to Mars (1968)

Despite the fact it stars Darrin McGavin, it also has Nick Adams and he's always pure riff fodder.

This film also has the LAMEST astronaut helmet EVER! Even lamer then "12 to the Moon" if you can conceive such a thing. This film was made in 1968 so there's no excuse for such lameness as opposed to a sci-fi film made in the early 50's when space tech was still relatively new and mostly unknown to the public.

Also, the theme song is hysterically trying too hard to sound intense.

  8. Midnight's Child

A made for TV, Victoria Principles Production about a German Au Pair who is married to the devil who seduces a woman's family, but strangely not the woman, so that she could marry the daughter to the devil.

    1. Olivia D'abo's amazingly nuanced German accent.
    2. Elizabeth Moss's dead-eyed child-bride of Satan.
    3. Blink and you'll miss it B'ellana!

  9. Terror in the Swamp (1985)

This movie makes for perfect riffing material. It's so disjointed, and the cast so ridiculous that the monster (a Nutria man who you hardly get to see) becomes the only likable character.

  10. Crack in the World

Crack in the World is a terrific science fiction film from 1965. Some say it is campy cheese with poor effects and bad acting, others consider it a cult-classic. Just watch the trailer and you will see that the film is perfect for Rifftrax. https://youtu.be/hxzvREM2S94

  11. Taking Liberty - 1993

The movie takes place in 1778. Imagine Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman married The Patriot and had a child that was even stranger then them that they didn't like to speak about and you'd have the movie Taking Liberty. It was originally produced as the pilot of a TV show that never got picked up so Hallmark (from my understanding) released it as a movie for a very short period. It was to say the least a flop and is hard to find now. The setting is the American Revolution in 1778. In the movie the British control Manhattan (correct), Boston…

  12. Christmas Twister

It's a wonderfully bad movie about a tornado on Christmas. No one believes the man (our favorite Starship Trooper, Casper Van Dien) who knows it's coming. Chaos ensues.

  13. The Twonky

It's like Pod People, but in the 50's, Disney-fied and it's a TV doing all the stupid, trippy stuff. I'm surprised this has never been riffed.

    Here's the movie:

(I've got a ton of shorts to send you guys [I found a goldmine of crappy shorts!], but have been lazy with my rufftrax, due to all this MST stuff going on. I may just throw them in a message to your FB or something. You've used some of my suggestions this year, which I am VERY grateful for!
    Cheers!)

North (1994) directed by Rob Reiner. I haven't seen this movie, but the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes make it seem very riff-worthy.

  17. invisible sister

Disney movie about a typical neglected genius, Chloe, who inadvertently stumbles upon the formula for invisibility while trying to identify SUGAR. Even weirder, a moth turned invisible by the formula escapes Chloe's garage-lab and ends up getting drank by her older, popular, obnoxious sister, turning her and everything she touches for some reason invisible to. Now Chloe and her sister must scramble to reverse the effects before they become permanent.

  18. Alien Opponent

An alien crash lands in a junk yard and an entire town of lunatic hillbillies try to kill it but mostly kill each other in hilarious ways. Features WWF legend Rowdy Roddy Piper as a gun toting priest, Jeremy London as basically a hung over version of himself, and a chiuauah named Taco.

This would make an ahazing live show.

  19. Happy Birthday to Me (1980)

It stars Melissa Sue Anderson and Glenn Ford. it's actually a great slasher movie, but it needs to be riffed. The ending makes no sense, there are 1,000 loose ends that aren't cleared up. The murders are pretty weird. One guy gets shish kebobbed to death. Another drops a weight on his throat that breaks his neck, thanks to the killer. It's hard to know who the murderer is. I would love to see this film riffed.
