This feels like it was practically made to be riffed. Billy Blanks, early VR ideas, straight-to-video production values, and that very specific mid-90s Canadian tone all combine into something that’s unintentionally funny before you even get to the plot. The fact that it also led to one of the worst fighting game adaptations just makes it even more ripe for commentary. Forgotten movies like this tend to resurface in discussions about odd pop-culture relics and cult media, the kind of thing that often gets revisited in long-form writeups and archives such as https://dlf25.com/.

That actually sounds like a perfect fit for riffing, especially because those old instructional tapes take themselves so seriously. The outdated graphics, stiff narration, and overly dramatic explanations would be comedy gold today, even for people who never owned those systems. It also taps into the same retro game nostalgia you still see online in places like https://onga.io/, where classic game concepts are kept alive in a more modern and playful way.

I completely understand your frustration, waiting for a response that never comes is really disappointing. It would be great if RiffTrax could improve their support response times and provide accurate tracking info so customers don’t feel left in the dark. Clear communication can go a long way in preventing these issues from escalating.

This sounds like a fantastic idea! Having a manual sync reference would make it so much easier to align the RiffTrax commentary with the movie, especially for tricky scenes. It would definitely improve the viewing experience for everyone.
That would be amazing, honestly. Modern games take cut scenes so seriously that they’re basically begging to be riffed, especially when the dialogue gets overly dramatic or unintentionally cheesy. Games like GTA and Assassin’s Creed would be perfect for this. I’ve rewatched a lot of older game cut scenes recently while replaying classics through emulators, and it really highlights how much game storytelling has evolved (and sometimes hasn’t 😅). Stuff like https://gamehub.onl/ makes it easy to jump back into those moments without a huge setup. A compilation of cut scenes with commentary would be gold, it would probably appeal to both gamers and non-gamers alike.
