1. General appreciation!

   Just wanted to drop a line and say how great you guys are. My wife and I try to make it to every event that plays at our local theater (last time didn't work out though, the theater's satellite was out of service!). It's always a blast and we look forward to the next show!

2. Location

   Up until recently, we were able to attend your Rifftrax events at a theater about 10 minutes from our home in San Jose, California. Now we have to drive 25 minutes to Cupertino and pay $5.00 more. What happened?

3. National Film Board of Canada's version of Katy

   You may want to consider riffing this short movie from NFB:

   It's the Canadian version of Katy but darker and more delinquent.

4. Missile-X: Stromberg!

   Curt Jurgens is very obviously in the preview of the VOD, Missle-X, who is likely most famous in the US for playing the Bond villain "Karl Stromberg" in 1977's "The Spy Who Loved Me." This is not in the VOD's description, and is quite a selling point. Also, it looks very weird to us MISTies et. al., being utterly silent on an excellent ref. and riff possibility there. We expected you to talk.

5. By Riffing A Godfrey Ho Film

   I know many of your fans constantly bug you to take on a certain movie, but as a fanatic of “so bad it’s good” cinema I have to ask why you’ve never riffed a film from director Godfrey Ho? This guy is the master of cut and paste cinema and he has the ability to make even a good film look awful. The dubbing of his films make Sandy Frank dubs sound like the mathematical precision of Johann Sebastian Bach! Of course in the interest of diversity, you couldn’t do loads of goofy ninja movies but I’d love nothing more than to see 1 or perhaps even 2 films from Mr. Ho. I think Ninja Squad from 1987 would be a fine film for your staff to look at. Sure you may need to cut a little nudity to keep things family friendly, but with the horrible dubbing, the 2 films that are trying to masquerade as 1, the loud ridiculous costumes and the best ending ever, Ninja Squad would be riffing gold! Like the pioneering Joel Hodgson and Frank Conniff before me, I have dedicated a lot of my life to discovering “bad” obscure movies. I personally find these films to be so much more entertaining than the big budget blockbusters and I can always find some brilliant scenes from a film that even the most skilled critics may have missed. When I watch a film like ‘The Crawling Eye’ or Roger Corman’s ‘Fantastic Four’ it’s because I genuinely enjoy these pieces of cinema (not the word you thought I was going to use is it) and I want to spread that love and enjoyment to others. If you ever need someone to work for you in any way let me know. A pipe dream I know and I’m sure you get propositioned by 90% of your fans, but with 8000 movies under my belt I have a lot more cinematic knowledge and range than most. I’m all over the web on Twitter, Blogger, IMDb and YouTube under the moniker @AllNewSux if you‘re ever interested to take a look at what I do. Despite the fun being had at the expense of the films I always felt the central idea behind Mystery Science Theater and Rifftrax was of course laughter, but also getting people interested in cinema that they have never experienced. With AllNewSux, I’d like to think that’s what I’m doing although on a much smaller scale. Honestly, feel free to contact me back in regards to anything. Thanks.

   Hi Guys -

   Hate to have to unsubscribe, but I'm doing it anyway. I love your live shows, and go to them in my local theater quite often. I've also bought a couple movies from the website. But holy crap do you guys email us WAY too often! Several emails a week? Come on now, that's ridiculous!

7. Rifftrax.com riffs vs. Rifftrax Live riffs

   Greetings, most respected people at Rifftrax. I have been a fan since 2008, and a MStie for 25+ years. I love what you do, love supporting you by purchasing your products, going to your live events, and supporting you on Kickstarter. You are awesome and have made my life better.

   That being said, while I enjoyed attending your latest Live event, Samurai Cop, it also left me extremely disappointed. It is actually the latest in a string of minor disappointments I've had with your live shows over the years, and this is why: you take something you have already riffed (whether, as in most cases, it was a movie from the MST3K days, or something you've riffed before for Rifftrax), and you make a live show out of it. At least in the past you have written new riffs, so it made going to the live show a fresh experience, even if I had seen the movie material and previous riffs a number of times. (And there is the exception of Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny with a different fairy tale in the middle, Jack and the Beanstalk, which I thought was even better than Thumbelina, and therefore made the whole experience extra worth it.) But for Samurai Cop I saw ahead of time you were taking the "best" jokes and adding new ones. Imagine my horror when apparently that meant 90-95% of the previous jokes were used exactly or slightly retooled.

   Some of this is my fault. I tend to buy your riffs right away or shortly thereafter if I like the preview of it, which I almost always do. I, however, don't usually watch them right away. So I had purchased Samurai Cop earlier, but hadn't watched it yet, and thinking it would enhance my experience at the live event if I knew which jokes were previously used and which weren't, I watched it last Saturday (the 8th) in preparation for the live broadcast (on the 13th). Now, because my memory works really well in context, it's not so much that I memorized the jokes that you told the first time around, but as they went along with the movie, it was easy to remember what you had said when I watched it a mere 5 days earlier. In retrospect, I would have had a better time had I not watched your VOD version either at all, or so close to the event. Although I think it would have been worse if I had not watched it beforehand, and then decided down the line to watch the older version, only to discover this later. But I guess we'll never know.

   I guess what this really gets down to is this: why do you have to riff at a live event something you've already done? I saw repeatedly in the promotion of the Samurai Cop live event that it was one of your most-requested riffs. I don't know if that was specifically for a live event or just in general, and that's why you had done it previously, but particularly if it was after you had offered it as a VOD feature, I guess I want to know why? I have attended every single one of your Rifftrax Live events, and almost all of them the live shows. (Granted, not the repeat showings like the offering last Christmas, but you get my point.) While I support you happily, I don't like the thought of buying a riff, then paying the money to go see the same one (which Samurai Cop almost entirely was) at a Live showing (and those keep prices keep changing, but usually increasing), and then, sometimes, as the case may be, if I like the Live riff, paying to buy that one, too. (I did that for Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny, though in that case, as previously stated that I liked the newer version better, I didn't mind as much.)

   As evidenced by the fact that there continues to be plenty of bad movies for you guys to riff after all the years of Rifftrax, the old MST3K, and the reboot out yesterday, it's frustrating to me that you continue to return to old titles. At least in the past you wrote new riffs. Samurai Cop you almost totally did not (though I have to admit, the timely United Airlines customer service riff was hilarious). Oh, and unless I missed it for people near my talking, or the laughter in the audience, you took out one of my favorite riffs of the movie, the reference to Dragon Sound/Miami Connection, which is probably my favorite one of your live shows, period. To have the riifs be almost exactly the same for the whole movie, but my favorite one be removed (again, I may have missed it), that made my experience even worse.

   I'm sorry for going on about this. You haven't lost me as a customer, as I'll be at your other shows this year, particularly the Five Doctors riff. When it was revealed, I jumped up and down and freaked out my family at the display of my manic glee. I will continue to buy your products and support you in future Kickstarter campaigns. And I admit, maybe it's wrong of me to basically demand you give myself and other Rifftrax fans more bang for our buck. But I had to let you know, in case there are others out there that feel the same way I do but haven't said anything before. Or maybe there are others who have expressed this, but have done so in a less-respectful way. (I really hope if anything you know that I have utmost respect for all of you at Rifftrax.) Why have a feedback option if you aren't looking for honest feedback?

   Thank you for your time. But before I leave, since I have you hear, I would like to end on a positive note. in your riff of Day of the Animals, that line about "Up to my ears in Bull" being the title of erotic Night Court fanfiction made me laugh harder than I have at anything else in a long time, and I laugh just thinking about it, which is often.    It's simple, really. I missed RL: Mothra in the theater last year - heartbroken over that - and have been waiting patiently for it to be available for purchase. Well, I would purchase it even if I had seen it, but you get my drift. So, just wanting to know what's up with no release.

   Theoretically speaking, what manner of persuasion would be required to interest youse guys in dropping a secret little message into the Summer Shorts Breach party on the 15th? That's our anniversary and his 40th birthday is on the 25th.

   Here's where I insert the "your biggest forever fan" stuff, and the yadda yadda yadda to convince you and all that jazz. But really, this is all about one-upping his anniversary gift to me. I have NO clue what it is but he's insufferably smug about it and we can't have that. So state your demands.

12. Thanks for crediting shorts that I've already purchased

    It's really cool of you folks to give us credit for shorts we've already purchased when doing the kickstarter projects. I noticed this last year and thought it was a classy way to do things. I'm definitely using those credits to get more shorts and movies here on the site and I hope you all have a wonderful 2017.

    It's an Alien ripoff, set in a Florida swamp, with an evil armadillo and bad acting. Oh, and Joe Estevez is in it. Seems like perfect B movie fodder for you guys if you can get the rights!

14. More locations near me PLEASE guys!!!

    I give to all your Kickstarters but haven't been able to go to the last three shows because the closest theater to me that plays Rifftrax Live events is an hour and a half away in yucky New Jersey... Why does New Jersey get Rifftrax but not New York? totally unfair, most New Jersian's can't even drive.

    I'm in the Hudson Valley, area code 10985, a bunch of theaters near me but none play Rifftrax, I'd even trek to the Palisades mall in Nyack if I had to just... please guys!!

    P.S. its funny to me that when I lived in Alaska I was ten minutes from my nearest Rifftrax, move to New York and its an hour and a half :-/

16. Memory function, app request & movie suggestions

    Too lazy to make two separate suggestions. Forgive me if either has been asked & answered. Didn't see it in the feedback. I also didn't really look either, so that may be why.

    1) How about a "resume watching" or "start from beginning" option?

    2) I'd also love to be able to access my entire library from the app, not just audio-only tracks.

    3) "Up the Creek". Schlocky Meatballs knock-off

    4) "Where the boys are, '84" I think this is perfect for Mary Jo and Bridget.

    It'd be really cool if inside the store in the app if there were trailers or clips from the movie with highlights from the rifftrax. I know I can go to your YouTube channel. But a direct embedded video in the App Store would be great.

    They both awful films that deserve to be Rifftrax. I couldn't finish Conjuring 2. I wanted to choke every one in the cast. ! Mr. Ed . Specially that guy !
