  1. Molly Grows Up

Molly Grows Up is a little gem from 1953 that taught girls how to start the process of becoming a woman. It also teaches them what they can or cannot do while on their monthly.

Under the guidance of a Ms Hathaway-esque woman, Molly learns that she can swim, dance, and have picnics while her Aunt Flo visits, but she is advised that she can only moderately do square dances and ride horseback.

It's a lovely little short that I suppose was advanced for its time, but comes across as overly hokey nowadays.

  2. Shake Hands with Danger

The original video is up to watch. Safety Video from 1980 with 1970 themes. One highlight is watching a man falls from a high height and dies... while a random guy starts singing and the camera films him. Riffers wanted.

  3. Santa Claus and the Fairy Snow Queen

This is a "short" although it’s longer than most, too long actually. The reasons are:
    1) "Snoopy" is very reminiscent of Mr. B Natural
    2) The Snow Queen wants Santa’s schwanstucker or something I couldn’t quite understand her.
    3) The Jack in the Box will cause you to wish him dead in some horrible way.

  4. Halloween Safety (Second Edition)

Bridget and Mary Jo's riff of the first edition was hilarious, I'd love to see them take on this second, 80s version! Featuring a talking jack o'lantern who LOVES having his insides scooped out but lives in fear of being stepped on. https://vimeo.com/6942726

  5. Santa Claus' Punch and Judy

Castle Films presents "Santa Claus' Punch and Judy." This short has all the Christmas themes; violence, racism, cruelty to animals, and an alligator attack. What's not to love about it?

Really, I think there is a lot to riff on in this one.

  6. Last Clear Chance (Rifftrax Version)

If you've all seen this classic short of MST3K ep 520, you know this unintentionally funny overdramatic driver's ed film is worthy of a Rifftrax re-riff (right down to the cop's cheesy 'angry' narrations-"SAVE THAT FOR SOMEBODY ELSE, BROTHER!")

  7. Holiday From Rules

TCM recently ran "One Got Fat" in the wee hours and I taped it because my kids love your version. After it, they ran a short called "Holiday From Rules" from the mid to late 50s (based on hair & clothing; I didn't notice a copyright date).

Four kids complain about living with rules and they're sent to an island of cardboard stand-up mountains complete with animated shark-infested waters. It descends into Lord of the Rings with fighting over games, shells, and food. One boy breaks his arm and, even though he broke it fetching a coconut, he doesn't get…

  9. How to Succeed with Brunettes

An overly tacky do's and don'ts video, produced by the Navy, mixing dates and business (no, not like prostitution). The picture quality is really good, for some reason, unlike most old shorts. There's some great riffable moments, but in general it flows well enough to keep people watching in case you guys crap out on some quality riffing..haha..j/k Take a gander.

  10. Military Etiquette and Grooming For Women in the Army

This looks like it would be a perfect choice for Bridget and Mary Jo. It's the sort of film that's amusing enough in its dated look and slang all by itself, and adding riffs would only help that.

  12. The Front Line

Early 60's short about how to be a better checker at a grocery store!
