Puff The Magic Dragon
A cartoon, about a song, about a dragon that somehow, really doesn’t tie together with itself at all. Filmed in that wonderful 70s animation style that we all know and love and featuring none other than The Penguin (Burgess Meredith) as the voice of Puff, this would be fantastic to see riffed!

TheJoker
Not the pretentious art film, but the B&W daddy of "Shake Hands With Danger", released as a safety short by US Steel. It stars Hans Conreid as the harbinger of injury and compensation. Accidents and camp abound, and it makes you long for a universe where Hans played the Batman nemesis.

sweet sea
Sweet Sea was produced by Tomy in 1985. It was a very short lived sea themed series which included one doll, four friends, fashion, cosmetic accessories by Avon, jewellery and a 30-min animated video. i must tell you however, it's anime-influenced cause tms entertainment made it, veteran osamu dezaki made it and vestron video's children's video library made it. it's fun to riff because all our favorite tv show characters from the late 90s and early-mid 2000s learned to do it too. you know which ones i'm talking bout willis. shows that currently rerun on mtv2 and fuse and fuse…

P.J. sparkles
P.J. Sparkles is a 1992 animated television special produced by Mike Young Productions. The special was more-or-less an advertising vehicle for a Mattel doll. Jodi Benson, best known for voicing Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid franchise, voiced the title character. the only reason why you should riff it is because you can compare it to sly 2 band of thieves.

video game promo videos
back in the 90s and early 2000s, many new video games would get previewed with footage on a video tape most especially nintendo 64 since they refused to make a bunch of demo carts even if they did with pokemon stadium, mario party 3, the legend of zelda majora's mask, donkey kong 64 and jet force gemini. there's also playstation one promo videos made as well and of course sega. if you must riff sega vhs', dvds, laserdiscs and betamax's do the promo videos only. that means no anime or tv shows or movies based on the sega games. there's…

Superman The Artic giant
I think Superman the Artic giant would make for a fun riff as first it's been a while since an animated short has been riffed, secondly the premise of the short is really dumb, and finally the dinosaur looks like a Japanese Daikaiju years before they created any.

Tea Making Tips (BBC, 1941)
You can give it a watch on the official BFI YouTube channel here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnvYymrCn4g&t=16sI just feel you guys tend to do fantastic jobs riffing on instructional videos in general, and one as genteel and specific as this could result in some absolute laugh out loud moments!

It's Wonderful Being a Girl
Oh, this brings back a memory! In 5th grade, the girls got a note that they were going to the auditorium to see this film while we were stuck in class. As the Paul McCartney song "Girls' School" says, "they put the papers on the window"! I remember being jealous that the girls got their own movie.
When I asked one of the girls what the movie was about, I got a very terse "none of your business"! This would make a great short to riff -- although it might be safer for Bridget and Mary Jo to do it!…

Mrs. T. and her Cabbage Patch (BBC, 1941)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9xLQBUi6Ic
I think the official BFI YouTube description of it sells it better than I could:
Poetic tribute to Mrs Turner's vegetable growing prowess, plus the delights of "wartime steaks".Also: Mrs. T. I pity the fool who wouldn't consider riffing this!
