The Wonderful Land of Oz
From 1969, from the makers of the "Thumbelina" insert in Ice Cream Bunny, from the dark dank depths of hell itself! This MUST be riffed!!!!
The Wonderful Land of Oz takes everything you loved about the original Oz movie and coats it in a slippery, weird, filmy substance. And it’s now available riffed! Get it here: http://www.rifftrax.com/the-wonderful-land-of-oz

This one is truly great stuff. A children's musical where no one can sing themselves out of a wet paper sack and the production values one comes to expect from the incomparable Barry Mahon! I especially love the cisgender challenging ending designed to give young pre-pubescent boys years of future therapy sessions.

The shame of it is...MGM, sometime in the forties, was hoping to make a sequel to Wizard of Oz that was based on the same material as this. It would've been framed in the same "dream sequence" style as the classic 1939 movie, with an orphan girl named "Tippie" who wished she could do the things that boys could do and girls (back then) couldn't. She'd dream the events of the book. If that had been made (presumably with Shirley Temple as Tippie/Tip/Ozma), at least THAT would have had something like a budget and production values, not like this...thing.
