Time traveling Americans save Jesus from modern day Muslims (portrayed by Latino actors). It sounds like a joke, but this is 100% a real movie that takes itself very seriously, yet stars reality show and soap opera actors. Dad jokes abound and the dialogue and special effects are incredibly cheesy. At one point the phrase, “I get it; it’s the ultimate Jihad,” is actually uttered. Their attempts at describing the science behind the time travel is for the most part, incomprehensible. What I’m sure were supposed to be awe inspiring and emotional big reveals were instead so contrived and ridiculous that I laughed through all of them. This movie screams “Rifftrax.”
