Gnaw: Food of the Gods II (1989)
A unique growth hormone goes awry when animal rights protestors accidentally free infected lab rats, which causes an epidemic of man eating vermin.
Paul Coufos (CHOPPING MALL), Lisa Schrage (HELLO MARY LOU: PROM NIGHT II), Colin Fox (LEFT BEHIND: THE MOVIE) and Jackie Burroughs (OVERDRAWN AT THE MEMORY BANK) star in director Damian Lee's loose sequel to the 1976 film loosely based on the novel "The Food of the Gods and How It Came to Earth" by H.G. Wells. Damian would later direct ABRAXIS, GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE.

Ha! If giant mutant rats in “Gnaw: Food of the Gods II” don’t scream “time to upgrade your menu,” I don’t know what does 🐀🍴.
Also, if anyone’s into food-tech mashups, I’m building a digital menu for Qdoba-style bowls and tacos: https://theqdobamenu.com/
— would love to hear if you think it needs “mutant rat-free” meal options -

Smoothie King’s expansion into solid food through its “Power Eats” menu is a smart and forward-thinking move. It shows the brand’s adaptability to evolving consumer preferences for high-protein, nutrient-dense meals that fit active lifestyles. By going beyond smoothies, Smoothie King positions itself as a more complete health and wellness destination rather than just a beverage brand. This strategic pivot could strengthen customer loyalty, attract new audiences, and enhance competitiveness in the fast-casual market. https://smoothiekingsmenu.com/

Gnaw: Food of the Gods II (1989) is a wild, campy sci-fi horror ride where a growth hormone experiment gone wrong leads to a swarm of man-eating giant rats unleashed by well-meaning animal rights activists. Directed by Damian Lee, this loose sequel to the 1976 film draws loose inspiration from H.G. Wells' novel The Food of the Gods and How It Came to Earth. Featuring Paul Coufos, Lisa Schrage, Colin Fox, and Jackie Burroughs, the film blends low-budget effects with cult charm. Just like browsing KFC Canada menu prices https://kfcmenupricescanada.com/ gives you an unexpected mix of options, Gnaw delivers a chaotic buffet of 80s creature feature nostalgia.

Recommended by Super Eyepatch Wolf, an anime Youtuber, in his 2019 Best of Fall/Halloween video (though this clearly isn't a 2019 product).
Brief glimpses of the clips he used and the trailer? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYZJPWKNuO8
This and it's predecessor, Food of the Gods... both need a proper riffing treatment.
