The Wiz (1978)
This incredibly dated Wizard of Oz adaptation is ridiculously funny and weird!

Daily conversations often serve as the highlight of our routines, and one of the best ways to make them more enjoyable is by sprinkling in humor through funny responses. Whether it’s with friends, family, coworkers, or even strangers, witty comebacks and lighthearted remarks can instantly turn an ordinary chat into something memorable. Humor in conversations doesn’t just make people laugh—it helps build stronger connections, ease tension, and create a more positive atmosphere. https://funniestresponses.com/category/daily-conversations/

Diana Ross muscled her way into playing Dorothy despite clearly being too old for the part, so the whole story got rewritten around her. The fact that it was rewritten by the guy who would go on to give us Batman with nipples didn't help matters.

I'm watching it on HBO right now (okay, it's bad but the score's still pretty good). What gets me is that the original stage play was way more faithful to the original book (even more so than the 1939 movie, for that matter). It began and ended in Kansas and Dorothy was a young teen/tween. So where did this business of making Dorothy from New York and turning her into an adult kindergarten teacher come from?
Anyway, since you guys poked fun at it in the Star Wars Holiday Special riff it makes sense that you should do this one.
