Left Behind (2014)
It has more in common with Plan 9 From Outer Space, complete with utterly fake plane set, but it also has Nicholas Cage, for bonus points.

This movie was so bad.

If rumors are true, Mike Nelson is a bit of a religious fundamentalist, so I think it's unlikely this move will get dissected.

From what I gather, the film is basically Con Air 2, with jesus. Will cage reprise his legendarily bad accent? I really want to watch this film, but I simply cannot subject myself to the full experience without the mediation of my favorite mid-western comedians bringing some semblance of culture and scope to the travesty. Please, fellas, make this happen

This movie is perfect. It's bad, based on a mediocre-at-best book series that were turned into low-budget Kirk Cameron movies. Cage is a cherry on the top of the wonderful moral lesson of, "Be as good as you want, but if you don't believe in this particular version of this particular god, go screw yourself".
For those unfamiliar, it's about the Rapture (of biblical fame), and it panders to the religious literalists the way Twilight did to shrieking girls and unsatisfied house wives that never grew out of high school.
And let's not forget the song over the credits (I'm looking at you, Disembaudio... so to speak), the chorus of which goes: "There's no time to change your mind. The Son has come and you've been left behind."
And the best part of this movie that most people don't even know it exists! So, I'm calling upon all of my fellow Mysties and Riffterians. Let's all do our part in bringing this movie to the masses. If you need more convincing, just watch it for yourself and you'll see that this NEEDS to happen.
