The Green Slime (1968)

In the late sixties some American movie executive realised it'd be a lot cheaper to outsource their filmmaking to Japan, and this was the result. There's some sort of alien creatures loose on a spaceship but the real horror is the movie's star, a man so insufferably obnoxious you'll want to throw lime jello at the screen. On the plus side the space station is equipped with go-go dancers, this being the sixties and all.

    Mike, Kevin, Bill, consider this: When this movie was done as an MST3K proof-of-concept pilot for KTMA but fans never got to see it we all lost out on something magical. PLEASE do a riff for The Green Slime, either VOD or Live. I'm sure you can get the rights to this gem.

    I requested this movies before I realized that someone else wanted it. 2 reasons to riff this.
    1- It was used as the pilot episode for MST3K….well, so I heard.
    2- It is more riffable than Birdemic! examples of scenes that need riffs -
    The Dancing is so goofy! It screams, "PLEASE RIFF HERE". How do they hear on the Phones when there are No Ear Holes in their helmets. Why does the hero show his Gynormous thumb.
    -- use kickstarter to raise the $23.75 for the rights to this movie…..

    The Main Character dances with the Ex while her fiancé watches. Then you see this look of extreme shock on the fiancés face. We don't see what he sees as he looks at those 2 dancing. --Add Riff Here --
    "I said he could dance with her and that's fine. No problem. After all I am going to marry her and all he gets is a dance….And apparently he also gets sloppy naked sex on the Dance floor! Hey! Zip it Up !!

    I remember seeing this on TNT's Monstervision about 20 years ago. I think Robert Horton's character had to be the inspiration for Zap Branigan.
