    Jaw-droppingly awful as the remake was, the original *absolutely* needs taking down a peg or two...!

    Yeah, I'm sure the current incarnation is crap--but I think the '87 version is long overdue for its comeuppance... People act like the original is such a classic. This is a case where nostalgia can be a dangerous thing. Watch the movie NOW and you'll see it definitely needs riffin'.
