This short presented by the philco ford corporation gives a decidedly dark vision of a futuristic house in the year 1999ad where the computer is in charge of the entire household. It features mandatory exercise and body scans, and the home teaching program telling 8 yr old billy he flunked. It features a young Wink Martindale and is pure nightmare fuel.

I think the intro beach is the same as at the ending of Planet of the Apes, and the kid is dumber than dirt. I definitely recommend this one.

You'd think with a title like this, you'd probably expect some Post-Apocalyptic film, right? Wrong, if you guys recall riffing on some of the 'alleged' future shorts, this is a gem from the Educational Archives.
Here, you'll see a young Wink Martindale (yes, the game show host) and his typical family in a proposed future home of 1999 AD. Although some of this comes practically from the Jetsons (sans Rosey the Robot and Mr. Spacely), there are some items they did get remarkably right.. and others.. not so much.. like the dry-cleaning closets.. and the instant food...
The entire short is definitely riffing material simply because it was bizarre what some people thought the future might bring.. other than Apes ruling the world, or people being processed into foodstuff..
