Twin Dragon Encounter (1986)
Maple syrup-flavoured magnificence from Canada! Twin moustached martial artists do their damnedest to make Y.K.Kim look like a competent auteur.
Take a level measure of 'Deadly Prey' plot, add a touch of the deranged hubris of 'Geteven' and a strong whiff of 'Miami Connection' (especially with the rockin' action theme) and stir in two heroes who each have the electric charisma of 'Karate Cop'. Oh, and they drive identically-painted passion wagons with their day job prominently advertised on the sides.
Leaden, clichéd, preposterous, witless, but lots of kicky fighting too. Like a lot of movie-makers who have genuine martial arts skill, they think that'll carry the movie on its own. Happily, it does not. Neither do the downright peculiar sound effects.
