-The scenery is some of the bleakest, emptiest scenery I have ever seen in a Christmas movie. Everything is dim and grey and featureless, with barely any textures. And Santa's workshop is the worst of it, looking more like a prison than a toy factory. The character models aren't much better, with everyone having egg-shaped torsos, spaghetti limbs and unchanging facial expressions. And I'm not excusing the low-quality CGI because it was made in 1995, because Reboot premiered in 1994.
-Dan Haggerty was so desperate for a paycheck in 1995 that he took on the role of the narrator. I hope he got paid enough to buy a sufficient amount of booze to forget this gig.
-The story...hoo boy. Burton, one of Santa's elves, goes rogue because they didn't like his toy-making machine just because the toys it makes explode. While he's vowing revenge, he falls into his machine, which somehow turns him into an evil shape-shifting snowman with weather-control powers, allowing him to engulf the world in darkness. Santa and only other elf Isaac hop into their jet (because that's easier to animate than reindeer) and fly out to stop him, picking up a girl named Jenny on the way because she has the titular light. And it only gets dumber from there.
