Making Contact
A shitty sifi/horror movie from the 80s I loved as a kid for some reason.
It's about a kid who's dad dies and all this weird stuff starts happening, like ghost phone calls, psychic powers and its also got an evil puppet and a dollar store R2D2, oh and lots of star wars stuff. It's on YouTube if you wanna waste an hour and a half of your life.

I came here after (technically during) watching the Brandon Tenold review.
BTW: down with sports pennants!

And here's something nobody else mentioned: this movie was made by Roland Emmerich. Yes, the same guy who made Independence Day, the ****** Godzilla, and a bunch of other stuff-blowing-up movies. Before wanting to be Michael Bay, he wanted to be Steven Spielberg.

That dummy terrified me when I was a kid! I'd love to see this riffed so I can get closure.

I watched this recently. It's such a bizarre film, and I could barely follow it. And I watched the English dub. I would label it an E.T. knockoff, right down to all the STAR WARS toys around, only it's about a psychic kid. But it's also partially a horror film, like E.T. meets DEVIL DOLL. Such a weird combination. And no joke, Darth Vader has a cameo. Some nice effects, though. Directed by Roland Emmerich of all people.
