Island Claws
One my favorite MST3K episodes was "The Giant Spider Invasion", it had a home made, sincere feel to it. "Island Claws" has that same feel, a similar story theme, and best of all, like "The Giant Spider Invasion" they built a giant life-size mechanical monster used in the big horrific finale. Robert Lansing as always, is so serious and intense, he could make watching the grass grow seem like an imminent threat to all mankind. No CGI here! Nope! None!

I saw this on Amazon prime as well. I expected a so bad it's good fun b- movie. Instead it felt like I was getting tattooed while having a vasectomy and root canal done at the same time. A good riff will make this easy to sit through

So many good lines in this movie!
Guy bumps into young hot girl coming out of Drs office.
Young guy says : " gee hope it wasn't serious"
hot girl answers " oh no. Im just having trouble with the crabs". -

This movie was built for riffing. The weird comments, the weird shorts, the old lady dancing and flirting. Please riff this!

Found Island claws on Amazon prime and it seems perfect for Rifftrax. 80s backwoods character drama peppered with nature documentary shots of lots of slow-moving, harmless-looking crabs.

(1980) A biological experiment in Florida goes awry. The result: Stock footage of small land crabs climbing all over the place and one very big king daddy monster crab, that explains in his own unique crabby way, why scientists should never have screwed with mother nature in the first place.
A giant crabby patty would have been a much safer (very delicious) scientific creation. Before riffing, please pass the lemon and the tartar sauce first.
