Let's Face It (1954 Federal Civil Defense Administration Short)
Have you ever questioned the economic validity of building an entire city just to blow it up? Have you ever wanted to test the validity of building an entire city just to blow it up?
The film that gave us the iconic stock footage of houses being blasted to smithereens and made us realize that the atomic bomb was more than just sending Indiana Jones helluva far in a refrigerator. Consider this for what would really happen to Bert the Turtle if he was in the vicinity of this force of radiation.
The three reasons why I suggest this film is because...
- It's public domain. Probably don't have to incur issues with the government in making fun of this film.
- It features stuff getting blown up, which is always entertaining.
- It is a time capsule of 1950s America and the Red Scare, which can present to the viewer what life must have been like during a time where we were afraid the Soviets would blow us up one day.

Wow, I didn't expect it to have received this many votes in 18 months.
It's a pipe dream, but if Rifftrax ever riffs this short, I would spend $20 just to buy it.
