Troll (1986)
The one that started it all. While TROLL 2 has garnered a large cult following, I never could find myself liking it. The original however I do have a soft spot for.
Starring Noah Hathaway (THE NEVERENDING STORY), Michael Moriarty (PALE RIDER), former Charlie's Angel Shelly Hack, Sonny Bono (yes, really Sonny Bono), June Lockhart (TV's LOST IN SPACE), and a pre-SEINFELD Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Harry Potter Jr. and his family move into a San Francisco apartment building where his sister is possessed by an evil Troll named Torok. With no one believing him, young Harry and the friendly witch Eunice attempt to put an end to Torok's plans of transforming all human life into trolls.
Long before J.K. Rowling's book series hit the shelves, TROLL had already introduced us to Harry Potter and his world of trolls, witches, and magic. But despite some plagiarism claims by fans, screenwriter Ed Naha has admitted the Rowling books have very little in common with his film.
The Harry Potter films have made for some of my favorite Rifftrax commentaries. I think TROLL could be a lot of fun, and a brilliant way to mess with peoples' minds.

Funny enough, this movie had nothing to do with Troll 2 at all. Troll 2 is a standalone movie that isn't part of the Troll series.
