I saw an article from somebody that I won't bother to google now, comparing The Last Jedi and Laserhawk. This person obviously had a bottomless well of class and sophistication. Anyway, you basically can't watch this online from a streaming service, legally or otherwise. I ordered the DVD, which came tonight. I think it was the first DVD I've purchased in several years. Watching it now. I'm probably halfway through. It's obviously terrible. Apparently made in 1997, but set in 1984? The Matrix was made in 1999. Not to use your riffs as reference, but similar comparison to Starship Invaders/Star Wars. Forgetting the FX, Matrix ended with Rage Against TM. This movie opens with what has to be "Power Metal" played by somebody's nephew. It feels like the screenplay and effects were created on a Commodore 64. It's a mess, but of a relatively high production value for a mess. Look, it's worth a review. I'll send my copy if that's necessary. I'm sure getting rights to anything is a nightmare, but considering it's only available by backorder DVD in 2018, I'm guessing there's some hope. Laserhawk would be amazing.
