When a brilliant scientist suffers a brain injury in an attempted assassination the only logical solution is to build a submarine, find an unqualified crew, and shrink it all down to the size of a blood vessel so that the crew can use ray guns to attack the brain injury. This movie won the 1967 Academy Award for Best Special Effects, and is one of the slowest movies ever made as it makes an hour and forty minutes feel like forty hours and a minute. Gold, simply gold.
